🌿 Strengthening Gender Equality, Disability, and Social Inclusion (GEDSI) for a community where no one is left behind
From September 24–26, 2026, the Banteay Srei organization held a three—day workshop—an internal consultation workshop and reflection action plan — with the youth representative network in Siem Reap Battambang, Stung Treng province. The event aimed to strengthen understanding and implementation of Gender Equality, Disability, and Social Inclusion (GEDSI) principles, safeguarding measures, and program and project monitoring and advocacy action plan.
The workshop was attended by 21 staff members (16 women) on September 24–25, followed by a discussion on September 26 with 27 young people (23 women)—representatives of youth networks from Siem Reap, Battambang, and Stung Treng Province.
✨ During the workshop, participants:
🔹 Strengthened their understanding of GEDSI principles and safeguarding measures
🔹 Reviewed and analyzed program monitoring data
🔹 Shared experiences, challenges, and lessons learned
🔹 Developed evidence-based recommendations and action plans
🔹 Promoted learning, accountability, and inclusive program implementation
🤝 Through discussions, group work, case studies, and experience sharing on September 24–25, participants reinforced their shared commitment to creating an environment of safety, respect, inclusion, and accountability for women, girls, children, persons with disabilities, and other vulnerable groups.
🤝 Notably, on September 26, young people analyzed key challenges within their communities, proposed concrete actions to address them for advocacy activities, and sought support from local stakeholders and local authorities.
