We are already enjoying the fruits of our garden - the young people enjoyed the jackfruit from the fruit trees prepared by the wonderful staff at the home.🍈

With New Year behind us, Chinese New Year upon us and Khmer New Year coming soon, it seems an opportune time to thank all our wonderful supporters. Throughout 2024 you have enabled us to improve the children’s lives in so many ways and we are very grateful.
You’re gifts have included:

We have begun preparations for our Kitchen Garden project. The aim is to provide the children with knowledge, skills and understanding of sustainable farming methods, such as the use of hydroponics to conserve water and composting. We will grow fruit trees and seasonal vegetables for the kitchen, selling any surplus into the local market.

Part of the land has been cleared and some plants have started to sprout but there is still a long way to go. We have received a quote for the land to be cleared completely which would be followed by building planting boxes and preparing the soil before purchasing seeds and saplings for the produce.

The children are settling into their new school.

Previously, schools did not have provision for the SEN children in our care. However, the move to Phnom Penh has enabled some of the children with Special Educational Needs to now access education and they are really enjoying it!
