NL Eats

NL Eats NL Eats is a canadian national charity driving agritech innovation and sustainable community building. ♻️

NL Eats strives to bring all foodies of Newfoundland and Labrador together under one group, all while making a massive difference in the St. John's metro area (and hopefully beyond). While this Facebook group only started as a place for people to express their feelings about the meal they just had, we saw that at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic that there were many people who were not able to g

et the essentials they need, so we knew it was our time to step up and implement our project . We knew that a traditional foodbank wouldn't cut it in the age of COVID-19, so we decided that the foodbank should be 100% mobile and have no need for large gatherings at the foodbank headquarters. We do this by getting into contact with those in need, we find out what they require, and then we send out one of our many dedicated volunteers to deliver the hamper right to their front door. Now, we are working towards being creators of networks of projects that will address food insecurity. We want to inspire people to help and to ask for help. To learn more about how to join our ranks as a volunteer, please visit https://linktr.ee/volunteeratnleats.
