ចាប់ពីថ្ងៃទី ១៨ ដល់ថ្ងៃទី ១៩ ខែឧសភា ឆ្នាំ ២០២៦ អង្គការជនជាតិដើមភាគតិចកម្ពុជា (CIPO) បានសហការសម្របសម្រួល និងរៀបចំជាមួយ នទ្រាងក៝ននុយ្ស (NKN) និងអង្គការ HEKS - EPER Cambodia ដើម្បីចុះសិក្សា និងកំណត់ទីតាំងប្រពៃណី ជំនឿ របស់សហគមន៍ជនជាតិដើមភាគតិចឞូន៝ង ក្នុងភូមិពូត្រែង ភូមិពូឡេះ ភូមិពូលុ និងភូមិឡាំមេះ ដែលស្ថិតនៅក្នុងដែនជម្រកសត្វព្រៃភ្នំណាមលៀរ ភូមិសាស្ត្រខេត្តមណ្ឌលគិរី។

សកម្មភាពនេះធ្វើឡើងក្នុងគោលបំណងរៀបចំបង្កើតជាទីតាំងការពារ និងអភិរក្សបេតិកភណ្ឌធម្មជាតិ វប្បធម៌របស់សហគមន៍ជនជាតិដើមភាគតិចឞូន៝ងផ្ទាល់។

គោលបំណងសំខាន់ៗ៖
១.បង្កើនការយល់ដឹង ពីទស្សនទាន ការគ្រប់គ្រងកំណត់តំបន់អភិរក្សបេតិកភណ្ឌវប្បធម៌ ធម្មជាតិ របស់សហគមន៍ជនជាតិដើមភាគតិច។

២.ពិនិត្យ និងពិភាក្សា លើបញ្ហាប្រឈម និងឱកាសនៃការអភិរក្សតំបន់បេតិកភណ្ឌវប្បធម៌ និងធម្មជាតិរបស់សហគមន៍ជនជាតិដើមភាគតិច ដែលបានចុះបញ្ជីដីសមូហភាពរួចរាល់ និងសហគមន៍ដែលមិនទាន់បានចុះបញ្ជី។

៣.ពិនិត្យទិដ្ឋភាពច្បាប់ និងនីតិវិធី នៃដំណើរការចុះបញ្ជីតំបន់អភិរក្សបេតិកភណ្ឌវប្បធម៌ ធម្មជាតិ ជាដីសាធារណៈរបស់រដ្ឋ នៅក្នុងតំបន់សហគមន៍ជនជាតិដើមភាគតិច (តំបន់ការពារធម្មជាតិ)។

៤.ពិនិត្យ និងពង្រឹងយន្តការ ដែលមានស្រាប់ ក្នុងការថែរក្សាប្រពៃណី ទំនៀមទម្លាប់ ក៏ដូចជាលើកកម្ពស់ជីវភាពរស់នៅរបស់សហគមន៍ជនជាតិដើមភាគតិច ក្នុងតំបន់ការពារធម្មជាតិ។

Assessment and Mapping of Traditional and Sacred Sites of the Bunong Indigenous Communities

From May 18th to 19th, 2026, the Cambodia Indigenous Peoples Organization (CIPO), in collaboration with N'treang Kon Nuy (NKN) and HEKS - EPER Cambodia, conducted a field assessment to map the traditional and sacred sites of the Bunong indigenous communities across four villages: Pou Treng, Pou Les, Pou Lu, and Lameh. These sites are located within the Phnom Nam Lyr Wildlife Sanctuary in Mondulkiri province.

This initiative aims to establish and formally recognize these areas for the protection and conservation of the natural and cultural heritage belonging directly to the Bunong indigenous communities.

Key Objectives:
1. To raise awareness on the concepts of managing and zoning cultural and natural heritage conservation areas for indigenous communities.

2. To review and discuss challenges and opportunities in conserving cultural and natural heritage sites within indigenous communities that have already obtained collective land titles, as well as those that have not yet been registered.

3. To examine legal aspects and procedures for registering cultural and natural heritage conservation areas as state public land within indigenous community zones (natural protected areas).

4. To review and strengthen existing mechanisms for preserving traditions and customs, while simultaneously improving the livelihoods of indigenous communities residing within natural protected areas.

Composition of Participants:
This significant activity brought together representatives from various relevant institutions, local authorities, and partner organizations, including:

- Representatives from the Department of Mekong Green Cover Development

- Representatives from the Mondulkiri Provincial Administration

- Representatives from the Provincial Technical Working Group for State Land Registration Coordination

វគ្គបណ្តុះបណ្តាលនេះ មានគោលបំណងសំខាន់ៗដូចខាងក្រោម៖
- ដើម្បីលើកកម្ពស់ការយល់ដឹងអំពីគោលគំនិតសហគមន៍ជនជាតិដើមភាគតិចនៅមូលដ្ឋាននៃសិទ្ធិរបស់ពួកគាត់។

Empowering Communities: Legal Training on Indigenous Land and Natural Resource Rights ⚖️🌳

From May 18th to 26th, 2026, the Cambodia Indigenous Peoples Organization (CIPO) conducted a comprehensive 6-day legal training session on the "National and International Legal Frameworks Relevant to the Land and Natural Resource Rights of Indigenous Peoples." This essential program was brought to 6 indigenous villages across three provinces: Kratie (Srae Chis village), Ratanakiri (Ou Ta Bok and Krich villages), and Mondulkiri (Pou Lu village). The training successfully engaged a total of 178 participants, including 94 women and 84 young people.

The core objectives of the training were:

- To elevate awareness among local indigenous community members regarding their fundamental rights.

- To enhance understanding of key national and international legal frameworks that recognize and protect the rights of indigenous peoples.

Reflections from the Community:
- During the reflection sessions, community members shared moving memories of their youth, painting a vivid picture of traditional life. They recalled a time of complete freedom, where livelihoods were deeply connected to abundant natural resources, and life was defined by happiness and a debt-free existence. They practiced traditional rotational farming, fished, and hunted freely. Whenever wild game or fish was caught, it was shared generously throughout the village, leaving no one worried about food shortages or expenses. They gathered resin, collected wild honey, and foraged for forest fruits and vegetables without any restrictions or interference from corporations or external authorities.

This poignant contrast underscores the critical importance of equipping these communities with the legal knowledge needed to protect their remaining ancestral lands and heritage today.

Preserving Ancestral Heritage: Securing the Future of Traditional Weaving 🧵🎋

On May 30th and 31st, 2026, indigenous community members from various villages gathered to share their cultural wisdom on traditional scarf weaving and bamboo weaving—ancient skills that hold deep significance for their heritage. The program brought together 28 indigenous participants (including 24 women), uniting respected elders, passionate youth, and young girls who share a profound love for their culture and a desire to absorb these traditional crafts from their seniors.

These gatherings go far beyond technical instruction; they serve to strengthen community bonds, foster solidarity, and ensure the seamless transfer of knowledge within the community. It is a vital step toward ensuring that the rich cultural tapestry and traditional expertise of indigenous peoples continue to remain vibrant and flourish from one generation to the next.

This initiative was coordinated by the Cambodia Indigenous Peoples Organization (CIPO) and N'treang Kon Nuy (NKN), with generous support from SDC and WCS REDD+, who contribute immensely to empowering communities to maintain, honor, and pass down their precious heritage.

Every weekend, our young people show unwavering dedication. Under the patient guidance of community elders, they are transforming raw threads into exquisite traditional scarves—living proof that our youth are ready to keep our ancestral heritage alive!

From May 23–24, 2026, indigenous community members gathered for a powerful cultural exchange. Elders, youth, and young girls united to share and absorb ancient skills deeply rooted in their identity:

Traditional Scarf Weaving: 19 passionate participants (included 16 women) joined on Day 1, and 14 (included 11 women) on Day 2, keeping the vibrant textile patterns alive.
Bamboo Weaving: Indigenous men passed down the intricate art of crafting (traditional winnowing trays), showcasing unique indigenous geometric patterns.

Indigenous Cuisine: A special highlight featured cooking "Prong," an authentic Bunong dish made with organic vegetables and a time-honored recipe.

These gatherings go far beyond technical instruction. They strengthen community bonds, foster solidarity, and ensure the seamless transfer of knowledge from one generation to the next.

ចាប់ពីថ្ងៃទី១៥ ដល់ថ្ងៃទី២៥ ខែឧសភា ឆ្នាំ២០២៦ ក្រុមការងារចម្រុះបានចុះអនុវត្តសកម្មភាពយ៉ាងសកម្ម ក្នុងការធ្វើបច្ចុប្បន្នភាព និងផ្ទៀងផ្ទាត់ភាពត្រឹមត្រូវនៃក្បាលដី ដើម្បីកំណត់អត្តសញ្ញាណអ្នកប្រើប្រាស់ដីរដ្ឋ និងដីសហគមន៍ឱ្យបានច្បាស់លាស់។ សកម្មភាពនេះបានប្រព្រឹត្តិទៅនៅក្នុងភូមិសាស្ត្រដែនជម្រកសត្វព្រៃកែវសីមា ដោយគ្របដណ្តប់លើភូមិឆប និងភូមិពូរាំង ក្នុងឃុំដាក់ដាំ និងឃុំសែនមនោរម្យ ស្រុកអូររាំង ខេត្តមណ្ឌលគិរី។

សកម្មភាពដ៏មានសារៈសំខាន់នេះ មានអ្នកចូលរួមសរុបចំនួន ២៥ នាក់ (ក្នុងនោះមានស្ត្រីចំនួន ៧ នាក់) ដែលជាតំណាងអញ្ជើញមកពីស្ថាប័នរដ្ឋ និងអង្គការដៃគូពាក់ព័ន្ធជាច្រើន រួមមាន មន្ទីរកសិកម្ម រុក្ខាប្រមាញ់ និងនេសាទ, មន្ទីររៀបចំដែនដី នគរូបនីយកម្ម សំណង់ និងសុរិយោដី, មន្ទីរបរិស្ថាន, អង្គការ WCS, CIWA, NKN និងអង្គការ CIPO។ កម្មវិធីទាំងមូលត្រូវបានរៀបចំឡើងដោយជោគជ័យ ក្រោមការឧបត្ថម្ភ និងគាំទ្រយ៉ាងពេញទំហឹងពីគម្រោង REDD+ និងអង្គការ DCA ក្នុងគោលដៅជំរុញការគ្រប់គ្រង និងប្រើប្រាស់ដីធ្លីប្រកបដោយចីរភាព និងតម្លាភាពសម្រាប់សហគមន៍មូលដ្ឋាន។

Activity on Land Parcel Updating and Verification to Identify State and Communal Land Users

From May 15 to 25, 2026, a joint working group actively carried out field activities to update and verify the accuracy of land parcels in order to clearly identify state and communal land users. This activity took place within the geographical area of the Keo Seima Wildlife Sanctuary, covering Chhob and Pu Rang villages across Dak Dam and Senmonorom communes in O'Reang District, Mondulkiri Province.

A total of 25 participants (including 7 women) took part in this crucial activity, representing various state institutions and partner organizations. These included the Provincial Department of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries; the Provincial Department of Land Management, Urban Planning, Construction and Cadastre; the Provincial Department of Environment; and organizations such as WCS, CIWA, NKN, and CIPO. The entire program was successfully organized with the full sponsorship and support of the REDD+ Project and DCA, aiming to promote sustainable and transparent land management and use for local communities.

Preserving Cultural Identity: Indigenous Youth Step Up to Inherit Traditional Weaving Wisdom 🧵✨

Day after day, our young people show unwavering dedication! Embracing both theoretical learning and hands-on practice, they are thriving under the patient and attentive guidance of our community elders.

These captivating moments showcase the concrete results of their hard work, as raw threads are beautifully transformed into complete, traditional scarves. These exquisite pieces stand as living proof of a powerful truth: "Our youth are fully capable of stepping up as successors to safeguard and keep this invaluable ancestral weaving heritage alive for generations to come!"

From May 16th to 17th, 2026, indigenous community members from various villages gathered to share their cultural knowledge of scarf weaving and bamboo weaving—ancient skills deeply rooted in their cultural identity. The program brought together 19 indigenous participants (including 12 women), uniting respected elders, passionate youth, and young girls who share a deep love for their heritage and a desire to absorb these traditional skills from their seniors.

These gatherings go far beyond technical instruction; they serve to strengthen community bonds, foster solidarity, and ensure the seamless transfer of knowledge. It is a vital step toward ensuring that the rich cultural tapestry and traditional expertise of indigenous peoples continue to remain vibrant and flourish from one generation to the next.
