434 Students Now Have Safe Access to Clean Handwashing Facilities at Khsuem Secondary School💧✨

Good Neighbors Cambodia is proud to announce the completion of a new Handwashing Station at Khsuem Secondary School, Kratie Province. Supported by Jinok Church (Korea) and Deaconess Jeong Esther, this facility provides 434 students with daily access to clean water and hygiene.

To further encourage proper handwashing with soap before meals and after using the toilet, students and teachers also received essential hygiene materials. We believe that clean water and proper handwashing are fundamental to cultivating a healthier school life for every child.

We would like to extend our gratitude to Jinok Church and Deaconess Jeong Esther for their commitment to improving the well-being of the students at Khsuem secondary school.

The global water crisis affects everyone, but not equally.

In many communities, women and girls carry a disproportionate share of water-related responsibilities, from collecting water to caring for family members affected by unsafe water and poor sanitation.

This unequal burden limits time for education, income-generating activities, and rest, while also increasing exposure to health and safety risks. It further restricts opportunities for women and girls to participate in decision-making processes related to water access and management.

Improving access to safe and reliable water is therefore not only a matter of public health, but also a critical step toward advancing gender equality. When water is accessible, girls are more likely to attend school, women gain time for economic and social participation, and overall community well-being improves.

At Good Neighbors Cambodia, we work with communities to bring clean water closer to households and promote safe sanitation and hygiene practices, helping create healthier living conditions.

✨ Good Neighbors Cambodia – Ongoing Emergency Response✨

Recently, we distributed infant formula and diapers to 471 displaced infants (273 girls and 198 boys) at Chansy Evacuation Camp in Ouchrov District, Banteay Meanchey Province.

This support is part of our ongoing emergency response, helping families with young children meet their most essential daily needs while living in temporary displacement conditions.

អង្គការហ្គូដណេប៊ឺសកម្ពុជា មានមោទនភាពក្នុងការបើកដំណើរការ អាហារូបករណ៍សាកលវិទ្យាល័យល្អឆ្នាំ 2026 (GUS) និង អបអរសាទរជំហានដ៏មានន័យមួយនេះ ដល់និស្សិតចំនួន 9 នាក់ ពីកម្មវិធីអភិវឌ្ឍន៍សហគមន៍ស្រុកកោះញែក (Koh Nheak Community Development Program – KN CDP) ខេត្តមណ្ឌលគិរី ក្នុងការទទួលបានអាហារូបករណ៍ជាផ្លូវការ។

✨Good University Scholarship (GUS) – Investing in Future Leaders ✨

Good Neighbors Cambodia proudly launches the Good University Scholarship (GUS) in 2026 and celebrates a meaningful milestone as nine students from the Koh Nheak Community Development Program (KN CDP), Mondulkiri Province, officially receive their scholarships.

Under this project, each selected student will receive a monthly stipend for 12 months to support living and academic expenses and an emergency health support fund while studying in Phnom Penh. Beyond financial support, students will participate in quarterly meetings to follow-up academic performance and engage in topic-sharing sessions related to their academic journey and adaptation to city life.

This scholarship aims to promote social mobility for rural students who seek life transformation through higher education. It empowers students to pursue their dreams, overcome poverty, and contribute to sustainable community development.

These nine students are beginning a new journey filled with hope, opportunity, and transformation.
