WP - Wathnakpheap Our mission is to improve the quality of life and livelihoods of disadvantaged women, children and the poorest families working in rural Cambodian communities.

We provide education, environment protection, life skills, and vocational skills. We are a frontline NGO working directly where development happens in some of the poorest rural areas of Cambodia. We are one of the most experienced and well-respected 'coalface' NGOs that implement for major NFPs and donors. We have the relationships, we have the knowledge, and we have the heart. Wathnakpheap, with the support and collaboration of the Bandos Komar Association, organized a 4-day "Study Visit to Extract Experiences and Best Practices" at the Lvea Village Community Pre-school, located in Maung Commune, Srei Snam District, Siem Reap Province. The program took place from April 21st to 24th, 2026. The program aims to a) Exchange experiences and technical knowledge on community pre-school classroom management, b) Share teaching methodologies and strategies for resource mobilization, c) Foster community participation and local authority (commune) budget support.

πŸ‘₯ A total of 26 participants attended, including Community Pre-school Teachers, School director, Commune Council Members, Representatives from the Provincial Department and District Office of Education (PoE/DoE), Representatives from ChildFund Cambodia.

🌟 Key Outcomes: After completing this visit, all participants will: 1️⃣ Gain valuable lessons and best practices to implement within their own target areas. 2️⃣ Be able to reflect on strengths and gaps to further improve their work performance. 3️⃣ Develop community pre-school development plans with the active participation of all relevant stakeholders.

Wathnakpheap (WP) recently organized a one-day workshop at Chetr Borei District Hall, Kratie Province, to provide comprehensive guidance on School Grant policies.
The primary goals of this orientation are: βœ… To strengthen the efficiency of resource utilization in alignment with the school's Annual Operational Plan (AOP). βœ… To prioritize support for vulnerable groups of children, ensuring inclusive access to education. βœ… To increase enrollment and completion rates while reducing dropout and repetition rates. βœ… To ensure a clear understanding of the eligibility criteria for schools to receive funding.

β˜˜πŸ‘©β€πŸŒΎTo improve the quality of home garden for 60 new project household (HHs) farmers in 2026, project staff of Wathnakpheap cooperated with district of agriculture staffs (DoA) to conduct home visit one by one to follow up and make sure farmers plant vegetable, increase income and to provide technical, resolution of points finding in site of visit, especially to reflect on rate of Climate Smart Agriculture and Nutrition Smart Agriculture CSA&NSA adaptation, find out the gape of CSA&NSA applying in order to provide additional coaching on technical knowledge. According to the result of monitoring and coaching visit indicated that 45 of 60 HHs applied CSA&NSA, and 15 HHs did not apply yet because they are preparing land for planting. Project will plan to conduct monitoring visit to 15 HHs who did not apply CSA&NSA to encourage them to adopt and apply. During monitoring and coaching visit, DoA asked to households about increase income also and then the farmers replied right now they just plant vegetable for daily consumption.
