One life lost. One mother critically injured. One family permanently changed.

So, how many thousands more must suffer before Cambodia has a strong, enforceable Alcohol Control Law—one that puts lives first and delivers justice and protection for victims and their families?

Whether the impairment is caused by alcohol or drugs, the lesson is the same: impaired driving is preventable, and prevention cannot wait for another death.

To the alcohol industry:
How much responsibility are you willing to take when your products are aggressively promoted, made increasingly accessible, and marketed in ways that can normalize drinking—while the consequences of harmful use are carried by families, hospitals, communities and victims?

To decision-makers:
How many more families must lose a loved one before the Cambodia alcohol-control law becomes a priority? How many more children must die before we act?

A law delayed is not simply a policy delay when preventable harm continues.

Cambodia Safety Solution Organization (CAMSAFE) continues to play an active role in advancing health and safety through the initiation of a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) 2026-2030 signing on Monday, 25 May 2026, with Cambodian Red Cross(CRC), Phnom Penh Branch, and international partners including Side By Side International (SBSI) and Sharing Experiences For Health in Cambodia Organization (SEHCO).

The value of this partnership would contribute to advancing emergency response systems, pre-hospital care, occupational health and safety, road traffic safety and injury prevention, child safety, and public health awareness through a sustainable multi-sector collaboration and technical support from highly qualified national and international experts.

This joined strategic initiative reflects CAMSAFE’s continued commitment to fostering safer, healthier, preparedness and more resilient communities across Cambodia.
