Happy Birthday Sarah 🎂🍰❤️
Tonight, we celebrated a very special woman, someone we are so thankful to have as part of our Water of Life family.
This morning, as I was reading James 1:27, I was reminded of Sarah and the words about caring for orphans and widows.
Then tonight, as we enjoyed her birthday dinner together, Sarah shared some precious memories of her two boys, Rath and Roat, who lived with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.
She remembers carrying them on her back to school, the market, etc. Roat, the older brother, was determined to continue his education. So for four years, Sarah took the boys to Salomon School daily, carrying them up and down the stairs.
While they attended classes, Sarah worked in the school kitchen so she could always be nearby whenever they needed her. Whether it was carrying them to the bathroom or helping them onto the bus, she was always there.
Both boys passed away shortly after their 12th-grade year. But the love and care Sarah gave them sure touched many hearts
And Sarah’s story of serving others didn’t end there.
She has remained with us at Water of Life, cooking, caring for, and loving so many more boys and college students over the years.
Every school morning, she wakes up at 5:00 to help get our two younger boys ready and off to school.
Sarah doesn’t just talk about love. She lives it, day after day, through countless acts of kindness and sacrifice.
James 1:27 reminds us that pure and genuine religion includes caring for orphans and widows in their distress. Sarah has given us a beautiful example of what that looks like.
Happy Birthday, Ming Sarah! 🎉❤️
We love you, we appreciate you, and we thank God for your life and the many lives you have touched.
With love,
Your Water of Life Family ❤️
