ថ្ងៃទី២៣-២៤ ខែកក្កដា ឆ្នាំ២០២៦ អង្គការសត្វព្រៃ និងរុក្ខជាតិ ក្នុងកិច្ចសហការជាមួយក្រសួងបរិស្ថាន និងរដ្ឋបាលខេត្តកោះកុង បានចុះពិនិត្យផ្ទៀងផ្ទាត់ទីតាំងគ្រោងបង្កើតតំបន់អភិរក្សជម្រក និងប្រភពដើមធនធានពន្ធុ (សេនេទិច) សត្វក្រពើភ្នំ ស្ទឹងកំពង់តាជៃ-ត្រពាំងពាង ក្នុងឧទ្យានជាតិជួរភ្នំក្រវាញ ក្នុងភូមិសាស្រ្តឃុំដងពែង ស្រុកស្រែអំបិល ដោយមានការចូលរួមពីមន្ទីរជំនាញ អាជ្ញាធរដែនដី ប្រជាសហគមន៍មូលដ្ឋាន និងអង្គការដៃគូអភិរក្ស។
ទីតាំងដែលគ្រោងនឹងបង្កើតនេះ មានចំនួន ០២ ទីតាំង៖ ទីតាំងទី១ គឺស្ទឹងកំពង់តាជៃ ដែលមានទំហំស្នើសុំ១.៩៤០,៦០ហិកតា និងទីតាំងទី២ ត្រពាំងពាង ទំហំ៧៨០,០០ហិកតា ដែលទីតាំងទាំងនេះមានលក្ខណៈជីវសាស្រ្ត និងទីជម្រកធម្មជាតិសមស្រប ដែលគ្របដណ្តប់ទៅដោយវាលថ្ម ឆ្នេរខ្សាច់ ទឹកហូរប៉ប្រះថ្ម (ឆាយ) រុក្ខជាតិដុះក្នុងទឹក និងមានអន្លង់ធំៗ និងជាទីកន្លែងដែលមានសំបុកពងកូនក្រពើភ្នំ។
ក្រោយការចុះពិនិត្យផ្ទៀងផ្ទាត់លើទីតាំងទាំងពីរនេះ អង្គប្រជុំបានពិភាក្សា ពិគ្រោះយោបល់ និងឯកភាពស្នើសុំឱ្យមន្ទីរបរិស្ថាន សហការជាមួយអាជ្ញាធរនិងអង្គការដៃគូ ពិនិត្យនិងរៀបចំផែនទីឡើងវិញ ក៏ដូចជាផ្ទៀងផ្ទាត់ឯកសារគតិយុត្ត ដើម្បីឲ្យដំណើរការបង្កើតតំបន់សេនេទិចនេះទទួលបានជោគជ័យ។
សូមអរគុណចំពោះសួនសត្វឆេស័្ទរ Chester Zoo សម្រាប់ការគាំទ្រផែ្នកថវិកាសម្រាប់ដំណើរការបង្កើតតំបន់សេនេទិចសម្រាប់អភិរក្សសត្វក្រពើភ្នំនេះ។
On July 23–24, 2026, Fauna & Flora, in collaboration with the Ministry of Environment and the Koh Kong Provincial Administration, conducted a joint inspection and verification of the proposed site for establishing a Siamese crocodile habitat and genetic resource conservation zone at Stung Kampong Tajay–Trapang Peang within the Cardamom Mountains National Park, located in Dang Peng commune, Sre Ambel district. The mission saw participation from specialized provincial departments, district authorities, local communities, and conservation partner organizations.
The proposed establishment comprises two sites: the first is Stung Kampong Tajay, covering a proposed area of 1,940.60 hectares, and the second is Trapang Peang, spanning 780.00 hectares. Both locations feature suitable biological characteristics and natural habitats, encompassing rock formations, sandy beaches, rapids, aquatic vegetation, and deep pools, and serve as nesting grounds for Siamese crocodiles.
Following the field inspection of both sites, the meeting consulted and agreed to request the Provincial Department of Environment of Koh Kong to cooperate with local authorities and partner organizations to review and remap the area, as well as verify legal documents to ensure the successful establishment of this genetic conservation areas.

យើងរួមគ្នាដើម្បីកម្ពុជាកាន់តែមានភាពបៃតង!

ចាប់ពីថ្ងៃទី ១០–១២ ខែកក្កដា ឆ្នាំ២០២៦ អង្គការសត្វព្រៃ និងរុក្ខជាតិ បានចូលរួមក្នុង យុទ្ធនាការ «ពន្លកបៃតង» ជាមួយ ក្រសួងបរិស្ថាន ដើម្បីរួមចំណែកបង្កើនគម្របព្រៃឈើ ស្តារប្រភេទឈើដែលជិតផុតពូជ ព្រមទាំងលើកកម្ពស់ជីវភាពរស់នៅរបស់សហគមន៍ និងរួមចំណែកកាត់បន្ថយផលប៉ះពាល់ពីការប្រែប្រួលអាកាសធាតុ។

ក្នុងឱកាសនេះ អង្គការសត្វព្រៃ និងរុក្ខជាតិកម្ពុជា បានបង្ហាញពីសមិទ្ធផលការងារអភិរក្សជីវៈចម្រុះ និងឯកសារបោះពុម្ពផ្សាយនានា ដើម្បីចែករំលែកចំណេះដឹងអំពីធនធានធម្មជាតិដ៏សម្បូរបែបរបស់ប្រទេសកម្ពុជា និងសារៈសំខាន់នៃការអភិរក្សសម្រាប់មនុស្ស និងធម្មជាតិ។

យើងក៏មានមោទនភាពក្នុងការនាំយកផលិតផលពីដៃគូសហគមន៍ចំនួនពីរមកដាក់តាំងបង្ហាញផងដែរ៖
🌿 សហគមន៍តំបន់ការពារធម្មជាតិអូរទុង បានបង្ហាញអនុផលព្រៃឈើ រួមមានផ្លែសំរ៉ង ផ្សិតពស់វែក និងទឹកឃ្មុំ ដែលបានរួមចំណែកលើកកម្ពស់ជីវភាពរស់នៅរបស់សហគមន៍ ស្របពេលជំរុញការគ្រប់គ្រង និងការប្រើប្រាស់ធនធានព្រៃឈើប្រកបដោយនិរន្តរភាព និងបានចែកជូនកូនឈើប្រភេទជិតផុតពូជចំនួន ៥០០ ដើម រួមមាន បេង ធ្នង់ គ្រញូង និងសំរ៉ង ដែលបណ្តុះដោយថ្នាលបណ្តុះកូនឈើរបស់សហគមន៍ផងដែរ។

🌊 រលកស្ត្រី – SHE Waves Koh Sdach បានដាក់តាំងបង្ហាញផលិតផលកែច្នៃពីសំណាញ់នេសាទឈប់ប្រើប្រាស់ និងសំណល់ប្លាស្ទិក។ ការកែច្នៃសំណល់ទាំងនេះទៅជាផលិតផលដែលមានតម្លៃប្រើប្រាស់ដូចជាគ្រឿងអលង្ការ ដែលបានរួមចំណែកលើកស្ទួយការចូលរួមរបស់ស្ត្រីក្នុងការអភិរក្សសមុទ្រ និងតំបន់ឆ្នេរ ​កាត់បន្ថយសំណល់ម៉ងសំណាញ់ ខ្សែនេសាទ ដែលឈប់ប្រើប្រាស់ និងសំណល់ប្លាស្ទិកនានា ដែលបោះបង់ចោលនៅក្នុងសមុទ្រ ព្រមទាំងបង្កើតឱកាសរកចំណូលសម្រាប់សហគមន៍កោះស្តេច។

Together for Even Greener Cambodia!

From July 10–12, 2026, Fauna & Flora participated in the "Green Sprouts" campaign alongside the Ministry of Environment to contribute to increasing forest cover, restoring endangered tree species, improving community livelihoods, and helping to mitigate the impacts of climate change.

On this occasion, Fauna & Flora Cambodia showcased its biodiversity conservation achievements and various publications to share knowledge about Cambodia's rich natural resources and the importance of conservation for both people and nature.

We were also proud to showcase products from two of our community partners:
O'Tung Community Protected Area: showcasing non-timber forest products, including samrong (malva nut) fruit, cobra mushrooms, and honey, which contribute to improving community livelihoods while promoting sustainable management and use of forest resources. We also distributed 500 saplings of endangered tree species—including beng, thnong, krohnuong (rosewood), and samrong—all grown in the community-led nursery.

SHE Waves Koh Sdach: displaying products up-cycled from discarded fishing nets and plastic waste. By transforming this waste into valuable items like jewelry, they contribute to empowering women in marine and coastal conservation, reducing ghost gear (abandoned nets and fishing lines) and plastic debris in the ocean, and creating income opportunities for the Koh Sdach community.

We would like to thank the Ministry of Environment for organizing this meaningful event, and thank all the guests who visited our booth. Your visit was a crucial force in driving nature conservation and sustainable community development.

On June 18, 2026, Ministry of Environment, Ratanakiri Provincial Department of Environment, Fauna & Flora, Veun Sai District Administration, Kok Lak Commune Administration, and the O'Tung Community Protected Area, totaling 49 participants (9 women), jointly planted 1,200 saplings on 1.71 hectares of land within the O'Tung Community Protected Area of Virachey National Park.
The planted tree saplings included 1,050 Beng trees (Afzelia xylocarpa, an endangered species), 80 malva trees, 50 Pring trees, and 20 Jackfruit trees. This planting aims to increase forest cover within the protected area, contributes to the conservation and restoration of endangered tree species, to the improvement of local livelihoods and the mitigation of climate change.
This activity also aligns with the Royal Government of Cambodia's "Pentagonal Strategy," which focuses on increasing forest cover to 60% by 2050, as well as Cambodia's global commitment to the conservation and protection of biodiversity. Following this reforestation effort, the community and rangers will protect, maintain, and monitor the site to ensure a high survival rate for the planted saplings.

A new, exciting accomplishment for Koh Sdach!

Fauna & Flora Cambodia, in close partnership with the local authorities, is proud to introduce a first community-based recycling hub in the Koh Sdach archipelago.
Officially launched on June 09, 2026, the hub sits within Koh Sdach Commune. This establishment marks a groundbreaking step in Fauna & Flora’s collaborative effort to diversify local livelihoods opportunities, promote gender inclusion in marine conservation, and safeguard the ocean from fishing nets and plastic pollution.

Operated by the SHE Waves Koh Sdach, the hub is open to the general public. It also features a walk-in store where local communities and visitors can learn more about the work and purchase unique, handcrafted accessories made from recycled plastics and end-of-life fishing nets/ropes collected from local fishers and Koh Sdach shoreline. Special thanks to Thais Fernandes for her creative and thoughtful design of the recycling hub.

WWF-Cambodia, in collaboration​ with the Ministry of Environment, Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, Mondulkiri Provincial Administration, Fauna & Flora, local authorities, and community partners, will release 10 purebred Siamese crocodiles (Crocodylus siamensis) into the Srepok River within the Srepok Wildlife Sanctuary on 22 May, 2026 following consultations and consents from different levels of stakeholders, including Indigenous Peoples and Local Community. The release marks an important milestone in Cambodia’s efforts to recover one of the world’s critically endangered species and strengthen freshwater ecosystem conservation in Eastern Plains landscape.

ការទម្លាក់ប្រអប់ថ្មសប្បនិមិត្តនៅប្រជុំកោះស្តេចនេះ គឺជាជំហានដ៏សំខាន់មួយក្នុងកិច្ចខិតខំប្រឹងប្រែងការពារប្រព័ន្ធអេកូឡូសុីសមុទ្រ និងលើកកម្ពស់ការអនុវត្តសកម្មភាពនេសាទប្រកបដោយចីរភាព។ប្រអប់ថ្មសប្បនិមិត្ត ត្រូវបានសាងសង់ឡើង ដើម្បីទប់ស្កាត់អួនអួស ដែលជាលទ្ធផលកាត់បន្ថយផលប៉ះពាល់ពីសកម្មភាពនេសាទខុសច្បាប់ ដែលបំផ្លាញធនធានសមុទ្រ។តាមរយៈគំនិតផ្តួចផ្តើមនេះ យើងសង្ឃឹមថា យើងអាចការពារប្រភេទត្រីធម្មជាតិ ថែរក្សាជម្រកងាយរងគ្រោះសំខាន់ៗ ដែលមានសារៈសំខាន់សម្រាប់ប្រព័ន្ធអេកូឡូស៊ី ព្រមទាំងគាំទ្រដល់ជីវភាពរស់នៅរបស់សហគមន៍នេសាទនៅក្នុងមូលដ្ឋានផងដែរ។បន្ថែមពីលើការទប់ស្កាត់សកម្មភាពនេសាទខុសច្បាប់ ប្រអប់ថ្មសប្បនិមិត្តទាំងនេះ ដើរតួនាទីជាជម្រកសិប្បនិម្មិត ដែលគាំទ្រដល់ការលូតលាស់នៃប្រភេទកូនសត្វតូចៗ ដែលយើងសង្ឃឹមថានឹងពង្រឹងសុខភាពប្រព័ន្ធអេកូឡូស៊ីសមុទ្របន្ថែមទៀត។

កាលពីចុងឆ្នាំ ២០២៤ និង ដើមឆ្នាំ ២០២៥ យើងក៏បានពិគ្រោះយោបល់យ៉ាងលម្អិត ជាមួយសហគមន៍មូលដ្ឋាន និងអាជ្ញាធរពាក់ព័ន្ធ ដើម្បីធានាបានថាទីតាំងដាក់ពង្រាយត្រូវបានជ្រើសរើស និងកំណត់យ៉ាងត្រឹមត្រូវ និងទទួលបានគាំទ្រពីសហគមន៍មូលដ្ឋាន។ ការសិក្សាវាយតម្លៃនៃជម្រកបាតសមុទ្រ ក៏ត្រូវបានអនុវត្តមុនពេលដាក់ការទម្លាក់ ដើម្បីកាត់បន្ថយផលប៉ះពាល់ដល់ប្រព័ន្ធអេកូឡូស៊ី និងធានាការការពារប្រកបដោយប្រសិទ្ធភាពនៃបរិស្ថានសមុទ្រ។

On 25 April 2026, Fauna & Flora, in partnership with the General Department of Fisheries under the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (MAFF), Koh Kong Provincial Administration, and local authorities, officially launched the anti-trawling block deployment ceremony within Koh Sdach Archipelago.

The ceremony was presided over by H.E. Im Rachna, Undersecretary of State of MAFF;Mr. Kit Sopha, Deputy Governor of Koh Kong Province, Dr Horm Chandet, Country Director of Fauna & Flora; along with representatives from the General Department of Fisheries, local authorities, and Fauna & Flora.
The deployment of anti-trawling blocks in Koh Sdach Archipelago represents a significant milestone in Cambodia’s efforts to protect marine biodiversity and sustainable fisheries practices. These structures are designed to prevent access by destructive trawler vessels, therefore reducing the impact of illegal and destructive fishing practices. Through this initiative, we hope to safeguard wild fish populations, preserve sensitive marine habitats vital to the ecosystems, and support the local fishing community’s livelihood. In addition to preventing illegal and destructive fishing activities, the blocks serve as artificial reefs, supporting the growth of diverse marine organisms, which we hope will further enhance the health of marine ecosystems.

Extensive consultations with local communities and relevant authorities conducted in late 2024 and early 2025 ensured that deployment locations were carefully selected and supported by local communities. An assessment of benthic habitats was also carried out prior to deployment to minimize ecological impacts and ensure the effective protection of the marine environment.
