ស្វាគមន៍នាយកថ្មីរបស់អង្គការ WWF-កម្ពុជា 🎉

យើងមានសេចក្តីសោមនស្សរីករាយក្នុងការស្វាគមន៍ លោក យេនីស អ៊ីម៉ាញូអែល ហ្គីនធីង ជានាយកថ្មីនៃអង្គការ WWF-កម្ពុជា។

លោក យេនីស មានបទពិសោធន៍ជាង ១៥ ឆ្នាំក្នុងការដឹកនាំលើវិស័យអភិវឌ្ឍន៍អន្តរជាតិ ការងារមនុស្សធម៌ ការតស៊ូមតិផ្នែកគោលនយោបាយ និងការគ្រប់គ្រងស្ថាប័ននៅទូទាំងតំបន់អាស៊ី-ប៉ាស៊ីហ្វិក។ ជាមួយនឹងអង្គការ WWF-កម្ពុជា លោកនឹងចូលរួមដឹកនាំការអនុវត្តផែនការយុទ្ធសាស្ត្រ និងពង្រឹងភាពជាដៃគូ ដើម្បីជំរុញការអភិរក្ស និងការអភិវឌ្ឍប្រកបដោយចីរភាព។

Strengthening Biodiversity Conservation through Systematic Planning in the Mekong Basin

The MRC Secretariat and WWF convened regional partners in Vientiane on 17 June 2026 to strengthen links between biodiversity conservation and basin-wide planning in the Mekong. Although the Mekong in BALANCE project ends this month, the work continues to advance Systematic Conservation Planning (SCP) as a practical tool for conservation and climate-resilient development.

Strengthening Community-Based Ecotourism in Koh Pdao

WWF-Cambodia, in collaboration with the Provincial Department of Tourism (PDoT), local authorities, and the Koh Pdao Community-Based Ecotourism (CBET) Committee, recently supported a community meeting to strengthen ecotourism management and develop new tourism opportunities. Community members launched updated CBET by-laws, agreed on standardized service pricing, introduced new tourism experiences, and improved financial transparency through digital record-keeping. These efforts will help strengthen community governance, enhance visitor experiences, and create sustainable livelihood opportunities.

As part of WWF-Cambodia’s work in the Mekong Flooded Forest Landscape, community-based ecotourism helps connect conservation with local economic development, empowering communities to benefit from and protect the natural resources on which they depend.

Strengthening Ranger Capacity to Protect Cambodia’s Wildlife

From 19–20 June 2026, WWF-Cambodia, in collaboration with the Provincial Department of Environment, conducted a SMART refresher training for 51 rangers and community rangers from Phnom Prich Wildlife Sanctuary and Srepok Wildlife Sanctuary. The training strengthened skills in SMART patrol data collection, wildlife and threat monitoring, and law enforcement procedures, including investigation, case documentation, and prosecution of environmental and wildlife crimes. Rangers also refreshed their knowledge of conservation laws and court case-building processes.

By investing in ranger capacity, WWF-Cambodia and its government partners are strengthening evidence-based protected area management, improving patrol effectiveness, and enhancing the protection of Cambodia’s unique wildlife and forests across the Eastern Plains Landscape.

ការលើកកម្ពស់ការអភិរក្សប្រកបដោយបរិយាបន្ននៅកម្ពុជា 🇰🇭

ដើម្បីសម្រេចបាននូវការអភិរក្សដែលមានប្រសិទ្ធភាព និងនិរន្តរភាព យើងត្រូវធានាថា ការងាររបស់យើងផ្តល់អត្ថប្រយោជន៍ដល់ទាំងធម្មជាតិ និងមនុស្សដោយសមធម៌ និងបរិយាបន្ន។

ថ្មីៗនេះ អង្គការ WWF-កម្ពុជា បានរៀបចំវគ្គបណ្តុះបណ្តាលមូលដ្ឋានស្តីពី សមភាពយេនឌ័រ ពិការភាព និងបរិយាបន្នសង្គម (GEDSI) នៅភ្នំពេញ ខេត្តមណ្ឌលគិរី និងខេត្តក្រចេះ។

Promoting Inclusive Conservation in WWF-Cambodia 🇰🇭

To achieve truly lasting and impactful conservation, we must ensure that our efforts protect both nature and people equitably. That is why WWF-Cambodia recently hosted a foundational Gender Equality, Disability and Social Inclusion (GEDSI) training workshop in Phnom Penh, EPL and MFF.

Supported by WWF-Vietnam and funded by the ESSF Sprint project, the event brought together passionate staff members and partners from across our landscapes. Through interactive tools like the "Power Walk" and the GALS Family Tree framework, participants deepened their understanding of community barriers and learned practical pathways to mainstream diversity, equality, and inclusion directly into our field conservation programmes.

Together, we are building a more inclusive future for Cambodia's environments and communities!

តាមរយៈគម្រោងស្តារតំបន់ទេសភាពព្រៃឈើក្រោមជំនួយមូលនិធិរបស់ Inditex អង្គការ WWF-កម្ពុជា និងអាជ្ញាធរខេត្តមណ្ឌលគីរី ធ្វើការគាំទ្រដល់សហគមន៍តំបន់ការពារធម្មជាតិ (CPA) ចំនួន ១០ នៅក្នុងដែនជម្រកសត្វព្រៃភ្នំព្រេច និងស្រែពក ដើម្បីបង្កើតផែនការស្តារព្រៃឈើដែលរួមចំណែកដល់ការស្តារប្រព័ន្ធអេកូឡូស៊ីរយៈពេលវែង និងភាពធន់របស់សហគមន៍។ អ្នកចូលរួមសរុបចំនួន ៧៦ នាក់ រួមទាំងស្ត្រី ១៨ នាក់ បានចូលរួមការពិភាក្សាដើម្បីកំណត់ទីតាំងស្តារអាទិភាព និងតម្រូវការស្តារព្រៃឈើក្នុងតំបន់ឡើងវិញ។ អ្នកចូលរួមបានពិភាក្សា និងពិនិត្យឡើងវិញនូវផែនការគ្រប់គ្រងដែលមានស្រាប់ និងបានឯកភាពលើអាទិភាពស្តារព្រៃឈើឡើងវិញសម្រាប់ឆ្នាំ ២០២៦-២០៣០។ ផែនការទាំងនេះរួមមានការដាំស្ដារប្រភេពពូជឈើព្រៃសំខាន់ៗដើម្បីពង្រឹងប្រព័ន្ធជីវៈចម្រុះ ជម្រកសត្វព្រៃ និងបង្កបង្កើនអនុផលព្រៃឈើ។

Communities Lead Forest Restoration Planning in Eastern Cambodia

Through the Inditex-funded Forest Landscape Restoration Project, WWF-Cambodia and the Mondulkiri Provincial Authorities are supporting 10 Community Protected Areas (CPAs) in Phnom Prich and Srepok Wildlife Sanctuaries to develop forest restoration plans that contribute to long-term ecosystem recovery and community resilience. A total of 76 participants, including 18 women, joined discussions to identify priority restoration sites and local restoration needs. Participants reviewed existing management plans and agreed on restoration priorities for 2026–2030. The plans include tree planting, assisted natural regeneration, and the use of native species to improve biodiversity, wildlife habitats, and non-timber forest products.

Community-led restoration strengthens local ownership while helping restore degraded forests, improve biodiversity, and enhance the long-term resilience of Cambodia’s Eastern Plains Landscape.

អង្គការ WWF-កម្ពុជា សហការជាមួយក្រសួងបរិស្ថានបានរៀបចំដំណើរទស្សនកិច្ចសារព័ត៌មានទៅកាន់តំបន់ទេសភាពខ្ពង់រាបភាគខាងកើត កាលពីថ្ងៃទី ២០ ដល់ ២៣ ខែឧសភា ឆ្នាំ ២០២៦ ដោយមានការចូលរួមពីអ្នកសារព័ត៌មានមកពី ១៧ ស្ថាប័ន។

Journalists Explore Conservation Work in Mondulkiri

WWF-Cambodia and the Ministry of Environment hosted a media field trip to the Eastern Plains Landscape on 20–23 May 2026, bringing together representatives from 17 media outlets.

Journalists visited sites affected by human-elephant conflict, where communities demonstrated how they safely respond to elephant encounters and crop damage. They also visited sustainable vegetable farms supported through the Sustainable Consumption and Production (SCP) Project and met protected area rangers to learn about conservation law enforcement. The trip provided first-hand exposure to WWF-Cambodia’s work in biodiversity conservation, sustainable livelihoods, and protected area management.

By witnessing conservation efforts on the ground, journalists can help raise public awareness and promote informed reporting on Cambodia’s environmental challenges and solutions.

World Environment Day 2026 | Partnership for Nature, Hope for the Future

Recent bird monitoring by the WWF-Cambodia research team, local authorities and communities recorded 96 River Terns and confirmed the successful fledging of 28 River Terns and 6 White-shouldered Ibises in Kratie and Stung Treng provinces.

This World Environment Day, we celebrate these encouraging results and thank our ministry partners, local authorities, Indigenous Peoples and Local Communities, development partners, NGO partners, researchers, and conservation practitioners for their continued collaboration and commitment to protecting Cambodia's biodiversity.

ពិធីបំបួសដើមឈើជំរុញការអភិរក្សព្រៃឈើដោយសហគមន៍នៅខេត្តក្រចេះ🌳

អង្គការ WWF-កម្ពុជា សហការជាមួយមន្ទីរបរិស្ថានខេត្តក្រចេះ ព្រះសង្ឃ អាជ្ញាធរមូលដ្ឋាន និងសហគមន៍ព្រៃឈើ បានរៀបចំពិធីបំបួសដើមឈើនៅសហគមន៍ព្រៃឈើខ្សាច់លាវ និងកោះខ្ញែរ ស្ថិតក្នុងដែនជម្រកសត្វព្រៃសំបូរ ខេត្តក្រចេះ កាលពីថ្ងៃទី២៨ ខែឧសភា ឆ្នាំ២០២៦។
កម្មវិធីនេះមានអ្នកចូលរួមសរុបចំនួន ៣៦៧ នាក់ ដើម្បីលើកកម្ពស់ការចូលរួមរបស់សហគមន៍ក្នុងការអភិរក្សព្រៃឈើ។ ក្នុងឱកាសនោះ ដើមឈើចំនួន ៥៧០ ដើម ក្នុងនោះមានស្ត្រី និងកុមារីចំនួន ១១៦ នាក់ ត្រូវបានបំបួសជានិមិត្តរូបនៃការប្តេជ្ញាចិត្តការពារ និងថែរក្សាធនធានធម្មជាតិ។ គំនិតផ្តួចផ្តើមនេះមានគោលបំណងពង្រឹងការយល់ដឹង និងជំរុញការទទួលខុសត្រូវរួមក្នុងការការពារព្រៃឈើ សត្វព្រៃ និងធនធានធម្មជាតិដែលជាមូលដ្ឋានសម្រាប់ជីវភាពរស់នៅរបស់សហគមន៍។

ការផ្សារភ្ជាប់ប្រពៃណីវប្បធម៌ និងជំនឿសហគមន៍ជាមួយការអភិរក្សធម្មជាតិ គឺជាវិធីសាស្ត្រដ៏មានប្រសិទ្ធភាពក្នុងការជំរុញការចូលរួមរបស់ប្រជាពលរដ្ឋក្នុងការការពារ និងគ្រប់គ្រងព្រៃឈើប្រកបដោយចីរភាព។ សកម្មភាពនេះរួមចំណែកដល់ការអភិរក្សជីវៈចម្រុះ ការពារជម្រកសត្វព្រៃ និងពង្រឹងភាពធន់នៃប្រព័ន្ធអេកូឡូស៊ីនៅតំបន់ព្រៃលិចទឹកមេគង្គកម្ពុជា។

Tree Ordination Ceremony Strengthens Community Forest Conservation in Kratie 🌳

WWF-Cambodia, in collaboration with the Kratie Provincial Department of Environment, Buddhist monks, local authorities, and community forestry groups, organised a tree ordination ceremony on 28 May 2026 in the Ksach Leav and Koh Khnhaer Community Forests within Sambor Wildlife Sanctuary, Kratie Province. The event brought together 367 participants, including 116 women and girls, to promote community-led forest conservation. During the ceremony, 570 trees were ordained as a symbolic act of protection and respect for nature. The initiative aimed to strengthen local awareness and encourage collective responsibility for safeguarding forests, wildlife, and natural resources.

By combining cultural traditions with conservation efforts, communities are reinforcing local stewardship of forests and contributing to the long-term protection of biodiversity in Cambodia’s Mekong Flooded Forest Landscape.
