អេប-កម្មវិធីសិក្សាប្រវត្តិសាស្ត្រខ្មែរក្រហម គឺជាកម្មវិធីមួយ ដែលអនុញ្ញាតឲ្យអ្នកប្រើប្រាស់ធ្វើការសិក្សាអំពីប្រវត្តិសាស្ត្រខ្មែរក្រហម តា

មរយៈ Smart devices (smart phones និង/ឬ tablets) ដែលទាំងអស់គ្នាអាចប្រើបានតាមអ៊ីនធឺណែតដោយឥតគិតថ្លៃ។ កម្មវិធីនេះ គឺជាគម្រោងសំណងមួយ ដែលត្រូវបានស្នើឡើងចំពោះមុខអង្គជំនុំជម្រះវិសាមញ្ញក្នុងតុលាការកម្ពុជា និងមានគោលបំណងអប់រំយុវវ័យ អំពីប្រវត្តិសាស្ត្រខ្មែរក្រហម ក៏ដូចជាបង្កើនការយល់ដឹងអំពីយុត្តិធម៌ សិទ្ធិមនុស្ស និងសន្តិភាព តាមរយៈការបង្កើតឲ្យមានកិច្ចសន្ទនាគ្នារវាងអ្នករស់រានមានជីវិតពីរបបខ្មែរក្រហម និងយុវជនជំនាន់ក្រោយ។ ព័ត៌មាន និងបណ្ណសារដែលមានក្នុងកម្មវិធីនេះត្រូវបានផ្ទៀងផ្ទាត់យ៉ាងត្រឹមត្រូវដោយអ្នកជំនាញជាតិ និងអន្តរជាតិពីប្រវត្តិសាស្ត្រខ្មែរក្រហម។

App-learning on Khmer Rouge History is an application that allows users to learn the Khmer Rouge through smart devices (mart phones and/or tablets) which has free online access for all. As a proposed reparation project in front of Extraordinary Chambers in the Courts of Cambodia, the objective of the project is to educate the youth on Khmer Rouge History as well as to raise awareness about justice, human rights and peace hosting an exchange between Khmer Rouge survivors and the young people. Bophana Center is the creator of the project and focuses on teaching and understanding Cambodian History and culture which it has done since its foundation, through archives, movies, documentaries… App-learning on Khmer Rouge History is a way to preserve national memory and to reach the younger generations. 📆នៅម៉ោង៩ព្រឹក ថ្ងៃទី១៧ ខែមេសា ឆ្នាំ១៩៧៥ កងកម្លាំងខ្មែរក្រហមបានចូលដល់កណ្តាលទីក្រុងភ្នំពេញ។ បេសកកម្មដំបូងរបស់ពួកគេ គឺត្រូវដកអាវុធពីទាហាន លន់ នល់ ដោយមិនមានសញ្ញាបង្ហាញពីការចរចាអ្វីឡើយ។

ក្រោយពីរស់នៅក្នុងភ្នក់ភ្លើងនៃសង្គ្រាមស៊ីវិលអស់រយៈពេលប្រាំឆ្នាំ(១៩៧០-១៩៧៥) ប្រជាជនក្រុងភ្នំពេញជាច្រើន មានសេចក្តីរីករាយក្រៃលែង ដោយសារតែពួកគេគិតថាសង្គ្រាមបានបញ្ចប់ ហើយពួកគេអាចរស់នៅដោយសន្តិភាពក្រោមការដឹកនាំរបស់អ្នកដឹកនាំថ្មី។ ប្រជាជនបានឈរអមសងខាងផ្លូវ ទទួលស្វាគមន៍ការមកដល់របស់ទាហានខ្មែរក្រហម។

What Did the Khmer Rouge Want Us to See?
Unpacking the Official Narrative in Their Propaganda Films.

This will be presented by Researcher Mr. Tomyo Costa Ito, a FAPESP Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of São Paulo (USP), researching Khmer Rouge propaganda films through fieldwork in Cambodian archives.

Drawing on the vital archives of the Bophana Center, this presentation analyzes the propaganda films of the Khmer Rouge. It investigates their visual language and narrative structures to understand how the regime built an idealized image of its revolution, in stark contrast to its reality. By combining close film analysis with extrafilmic sources—such as documents, photographs, and revolutionary publications—this talk illuminates the production of these films and their role in constructing the regime’s official narrative.

Dr. Haing S. Ngor, a Cambodian doctor, survived four years of torture in Khmer Rouge labor camps and later portrayed those experiences in the film The Killing Fields, earning an Academy Award and becoming an international voice for Cambodia’s tragedy. Despite surviving the horrors of the Pol Pot regime, he was tragically murdered two decades later in Los Angeles.

On August 26, 2025, the Bophana Audiovisual Resource Center welcomed a group of students led by the Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum to explore Cambodia’s audiovisual heritage. During the visit, students learned to use the Khmer Rouge History App and viewed historical audiovisual archives, particularly those related to war and genocide. Bophana Center welcomes all students and the public for free study tours to learn about Cambodia’s archives.
