សប្ដាហ៍នេះ អង្គការ Kampuchea Sëla Handicap (KSH) មានមោទនភាពដែលបានចូលរួមក្នុងសិក្ខាសាលាថ្នាក់ជាតិមួយ ដែលដឹកនាំដោយ UNICEF Cambodia - ដើម្បីកុមារគ្រប់រូប និង People’s Action for Inclusive Development ដោយបានប្រមូលផ្តុំអង្គការតំណាងជនមានពិការភាព និងតំណាងពីក្រសួងចំនួន ៦។

អស់រយៈពេលជាយូរមកហើយ ជនមានពិការភាពតែងតែត្រូវបានដកចេញពីការសម្រេចចិត្តដែលមានឥទ្ធិពលដោយផ្ទាល់លើជីវិតរបស់ពួកគេ។ ព្រឹត្តិការណ៍នេះបានរំលឹកយ៉ាងច្បាស់ថា ការបរិយាបន្នពិតប្រាកដចាប់ផ្តើមនៅពេលដែលសំឡេងរបស់ពួកគេត្រូវបានស្តាប់ និងយកមកពិចារណា។

នៅ KSH យើងឃើញជារៀងរាល់ថ្ងៃថា មនុស្សពេញវ័យដែលមានពិការភាពបញ្ញា អាចរីកចម្រើន និងសម្រេចបាននូវសក្តានុពលរបស់ខ្លួន នៅពេលដែលពួកគេទទួលបានការគាំទ្រ និងឱកាសសមស្រប។ មតិយោបល់ និងបទពិសោធន៍របស់ពួកគេមានតម្លៃ និងពួកគេសមនឹងមានកន្លែងក្នុងការពិភាក្សា និងការសម្រេចចិត្ត។

យើងមានកិត្តិយសដែលបានចូលរួមចំណែកក្នុងកិច្ចពិភាក្សាដ៏សំខាន់នេះ និងជួយកសាងប្រទេសកម្ពុជាដែលមានការបរិយាបន្នសម្រាប់មនុស្សគ្រប់រូប។

“Nothing about us without us.”

This week, KSH was proud to join a national workshop led by UNICEF Cambodia - ដើម្បីកុមារគ្រប់រូប and People’s Action for Inclusive Development, bringing together organizations of persons with disabilities and government representatives from six ministries.

For too long, persons with disabilities have been excluded from decisions that directly affect their lives. This event was a strong reminder that real inclusion begins when their voices are heard and taken into account.

At KSH, we see every day how adults with intellectual disabilities can thrive when they are given the right support and opportunities. Their perspectives matter, and they deserve a place at the table.

We were honored to contribute to this important dialogue and to help build a more inclusive Cambodia.

ជាមួយគ្នានេះផងដែរ យើងក៏កំពុងពង្រឹង ការចូលរួមរបស់មាតាបិតា ដែលមានសារៈសំខាន់ដូចគ្នា។ ព្រោះការរួមបញ្ចូលយ៉ាងមាននិរន្តរភាព មិនអាចកើតឡើងដោយឯងទេ តែត្រូវការក្រុមគ្រួសារដែលមានសមត្ថភាព សហគមន៍ដែលមានការយល់ដឹង និងកិច្ចសហការដ៏រឹងមាំ។

គម្រោងនេះមានគោលបំណងភ្ជាប់ធាតុសំខាន់ៗ៖

Building bridges for inclusive employment 🤝

We’re proud to officially launch the Job Coaching Alliance, a joint initiative bringing together organizations (Kampuchea Sëla Handicap Komar Pikar Foundation KPF Essential Personnel Cambodia PACHID) committed to improving employment opportunities for people with intellectual disabilities in Cambodia.

At the same time, we are strengthening something just as important: parents’ mobilization. Because sustainable inclusion doesn’t happen alone — it starts with empowered families, informed communities, and strong collaboration.

This project is about connecting the dots:
👉 job coaching
👉 private sector engagement
👉 parents as key actors of change

Step by step, we’re building a more inclusive pathway to employment.

បន្ទាប់ពីច្រើនខែ នៃការខិតខំប្រឹងប្រែង ពេលនេះដល់ពេលដែលយើងត្រូវនិយាយលាដល់អ្នកស្ម័គ្រចិត្តអស្ចារ្យពីរនាក់។
Capucine ដែលបានជាផ្នែកមួយនៃ KSH អស់រយៈពេល ១១ ខែ និង Mayline ដែលបានចូលរួមជាមួយយើងរយៈពេល ២ ខែ កំពុងបន្តដំណើរថ្មីរបស់ពួកគេ។

រយៈពេលខុសគ្នា ប៉ុន្តែមានថាមពល ការប្តេជ្ញាចិត្ត និងភាពមានមេត្តាដូចគ្នា។

ពួកគេទាំងពីរបាននាំមកនូវអ្វីពិសេសមួយទៅក្នុងជីវិតប្រចាំថ្ងៃរបស់យើង តាមរយៈពេលវេលាដែលបានចែករំលែកជាមួយអ្នកស្នាក់នៅ ការគាំទ្រដល់ក្រុមការងារ និងការចូលរួមដោយភាពស្មោះត្រង់។

Two journeys, one shared impact 🤍

After months of dedication, it’s time for us to say goodbye to two amazing volunteers.

Capucine, who has been part of KSH for the past 11 months, and Mayline, who joined us for 2 months, are now moving on to their next adventures.

Different durations, but the same energy, commitment, and kindness.

Both of them brought something unique to our daily life, through moments shared with our residents, support to the team, and simply being present with sincerity.

You will always be part of the KSH story 💛

អ្នករស់នៅរបស់យើងមានឱកាសទៅទស្សនាវត្តមួយនៅតំបន់ជិតខាង ដើម្បីចូលរួមក្នុងពេលវេលាស្ងប់ស្ងាត់ និងពេញដោយវិញ្ញាណ ដោយគោរពវប្បធម៌ និងប្រពៃណីខ្មែរ។

បន្ទាប់មកគឺពិធីអបអរសាទរ មានតន្ត្រី ទឹក និងម្សៅជាច្រើនលាបលើមុខដែលពោរពេញដោយស្នាមញញឹម។

រាល់ថ្ងៃមានចង្វាក់ផ្ទាល់ខ្លួន៖ ពេលស្ងប់ស្ងាត់ បន្ទាប់មកមានសំណើច ល្បែង និងភាពសប្បាយរីករាយជាច្រើន។

One week, many moments.

Our residents had the opportunity to visit a local pagoda, taking part in a peaceful and spiritual moment, honoring Cambodian culture and traditions.

Then come the party with music, water and lot of powder on the smiley face.

Each day had its own rhythm: calm moments, followed by laughter, games, and a lot of fun. Just a week of living, playing, celebrating together.

Grateful for a meaningful visit

Kampuchea Sëla Handicap were very happy to visit OrbRom Learning Support Center

This was a great moment to exchange on the importance of supporting children to adults with intellectual disabilities and autism.

We share a common vision: building a full continuum of care, from early intervention to adulthood, through stronger collaboration.

Looking forward to exploring concrete partnership opportunities together 🤝

It was a real pleasure meeting with the team from 🌸 Kampuchea Sëla Handicap.

Led by Sephan Soung and supported by Valentin Dubé, their work focuses on supporting adults with mental disabilities in Cambodia, a space that is often overlooked, yet critically important.

What stood out immediately is the scale of the challenge they are taking on.
While much of the sector focuses on early intervention and childhood support, there is a significant gap when individuals transition into adulthood.

The reality is that there are very few organizations addressing this phase of life, and in Cambodia, they are among the only ones doing it in a structured and committed way.

Supporting adults with disabilities is not just a continuation of services, it requires a completely different framework: life skills, independence, dignity, long-term care, and meaningful inclusion in society. It is complex, resource-intensive, and demands long-term vision.

Their commitment to this mission is both impressive and necessary.

At OrbRom Center, we recognize the importance of building a full continuum of care, from early intervention to adulthood. This is why we are very interested in exploring how we can collaborate and support initiatives that extend beyond childhood services.

There is a clear need for stronger partnerships in Cambodia to ensure that individuals with disabilities are supported throughout their entire lifespan — not just the early years.

We look forward to continuing this conversation and exploring meaningful ways to work together.
