🌱 Session 7 Update – TeacherTech Digital Foundations Class (Batch 4) 🌱

In partnership with the Isaiah Organization and The Box Office - Phnom Penh , our journey in Boeung Kak continues to grow strong.

Last week, under the guidance of Teacher Jay with the support of Teacher Zendra, our students:

- Reviewed lessons and checked homework.
- Rehearsed their presentations with confidence.
- Played the Privacy Shield game β€” learning to discern what’s safe (and not safe) online.
- Took their first steps into Google Docs, exploring its basic usage.

We are deeply grateful to our partners and donors who make this possible. With only a few sessions left, we look forward to June 2026, when the students will take home the very computers they’ve been learning on which is a true handover of knowledge, tools, and opportunity.

What was once just an idea is now sprouting into reality at the Isaiah Organization centre in Boeung Kak slum area

The library and computer room are steadily growing into a space where knowledge can take root and flourish.

Today new foundations were laid: the computer tables are in place, and office chairs are ready for learners to settle in. The reading nook has been arranged, inviting quiet moments of discovery, and shelves now hang on the walls, waiting to be filled with stories that will branch out into young imaginations.

Each addition feels like planting another seed in this garden of growth. We are deeply grateful to everyone who has helped us nurture this vision. Your support is the sunlight and water that make it possible.

There is still more to do, but the forest is beginning to emerge. With each new piece, we are creating a space where learning can grow tall and strong. 🌿✨

TeacherTech Computers 4 Kids Project – Digital Foundations Class Batch 4 (Session 6) Update

Last Sunday, with the Isaiah Organization, our young learners continued their journey in digital literacy. Since some students missed Session 5, Teacher Jay with the assistance of Teacher Zendra introduced peer teaching. This allowed their classmates to guide and support one another. This not only helped everyone catch up but also highlighted the power of collaboration: when students teach, they strengthen their own understanding while uplifting their peers. πŸ’‘πŸ‘©β€πŸ«πŸ‘¨β€πŸ«

We are deeply grateful for the community that continues to stand behind TeacherTech Computers 4 Kids Project in this mission to empower underprivileged Khmer kids through technology. Special thanks to The Box Office - Phnom Penh for generously providing snacks for both the kids and the teaching team every Sunday. Your kindness fuels both minds and hearts. πŸ™β€οΈ

Step by step, our little forest of learning is taking shape. At the Isaiah Organization in Boeung Kak slum area, the library project that TeacherTech Computers 4 Kids Project is growing into something truly special.

This week, we painted a tree that will shelter the reading nook, soon to be filled with soft bean bags from Bean Buddy The shelves are beginning to bloom with 50 Khmer and English books from Fount of Wisdom Publishing House Organization, each one carrying lessons of good morals and Khmer culture. The computer desk from SHE Investments has been given new life with fresh paint, and new chairs now wait for curious learners to take their seats. πŸŒ±πŸ’»

Adding to the sense of exploration, our friend Oliver gifted a world map. a reminder that knowledge can take us far beyond the walls of the library. 🌍

Every brushstroke, every book, every chair is a sign of growth. And none of this would be possible without the generosity of those who have sown financial support and encouragement into this project. πŸ™

Tomorrow, we continue nurturing this garden of knowledge. Watch this space as the forest grows! πŸͺ΄πŸŒ±πŸ“š

Mr. David W. Deeds of Footprints International School has launched an inspiring initiative called THINK INSIDE THE BOX, opening doors for students to explore and learn more about computers in creative, hands-on ways.

We at TeacherTech Computers 4 Kids Project are absolutely delighted to be part of this journey. This project is more than just about technology, it’s about empowering young minds, sparking curiosity, and building skills that will shape their futures.

A heartfelt thank you to Mr. Deeds for sharing this photo and for creating a world of possibilities for these students. πŸš€πŸ’»βœ¨

Kudos to Drake Smith and his wife, Sophea, for being a true bridge of blessing to Kraya in Kampong Thom Province. Their generosity has flowed into a new well for a village school, 200–300 school books for eager learners, and 440 lbs of rice shared among families in need.

Alongside their efforts, TeacherTech Computers 4 Kids Project was honored to contribute refurbished techβ€”desktop computer, tablet, printer, projector, and WiFi routersβ€”opening digital doors for students who deserve every chance to thrive.

This is the power of community:

- πŸ’» Supporters donating old tech devices
- 🌾 Families like Drake & Sophea pouring into wells, books, and rice
- 🀝 Together, empowering our underprivileged brethren with tools for learning, nourishment, and hope

Just as the well refreshes others, may we be wells to others who pour out what we have so that others may flourish.

πŸ™ Thank you to everyone who continues to support the mission of bridging the digital divide in the Kingdom. Every act of kindness is a ripple that reaches far beyond Phnom Penh, touching lives across Cambodia.

With deep gratitude,

David & Adjani

✨ TeacherTech Computers 4 Kids Project – Digital Foundations Course (Batch 4, Session 4) ✨

This session at our partner school Isaiah Organization in the Boeung Kak Slum Area was filled with joy, teamwork, and learning!

πŸ‘©β€πŸ« A new student joined the class, so Teacher Jay led a lively review of Lessons 1–3. To make it exciting, we turned the review into a charades game where students acted out computer parts. The room echoed with laughter as everyone joined in the fun!

πŸ† The winners were our new student and one of our consistent champions. What stood out most was the champion’s choice to give his prizeβ€”a large mousepadβ€”to his friend, since he had already won one last session. This simple act highlighted the values of character building and camaraderie that we aim to nurture.

πŸͺ Special thanks to The Box Office - Phnom Penh for sponsoring snacks for both students and the teaching team. Your kindness fuels both learning and community spirit.

🌸 The class will now pause for Khmer New Year break and return after one week, ready to continue their digital journey.

πŸ’» Remember: this free course equips underprivileged Khmer youth with the skills to own and care for their own computers, while also learning to be responsible digital citizens.

πŸ™ We are grateful for the community’s ongoing support. Your contributions help cover transportation costs, teacher’s fees, and prizes that motivate students to upgrade their computers. Together, we are living out TeacherTech’s mission to equip, engage, and empower Khmer youth in the digital age.

We are so encouraged by Alessandro’s generosity in sponsoring a laptop for a student in Siem Reap. His heartfelt feedback made our day!

Moments like these remind us why TeacherTech exists. We believe every child deserves the tools to learn, dream, and thrive in the digital age.

TeacherTech is not just me and David but it’s a community united by trust, compassion, and collaboration. Together, we equip, engage, and empower underprivileged Khmer kids with technology, ensuring it becomes a bridge not a barrier for the next generation.

This is more than a project. It’s a movement. And every sponsor, every supporter, every child touched by technology is part of that story!

We are grateful to Daria, General Manager of Bean Buddy for her generous support of the TeacherTech Computers 4 Kids Project

Daria donated her old laptop, which we’ll refurbish and deliver to Fish Island via Steve Thurrot, and she also gifted bean bags for the new library we’re helping the Isaiah Organization build in the Boeung Kak slum area.

Bean Buddy’s mission is to create welcoming spaces that foster community, comfort, and connection. These are values that shine through in this contribution. Their vision of making everyday environments more supportive and inspiring aligns perfectly with TeacherTech’s goal of empowering children through access to technology and safe learning spaces.

We first connected with Daria during the BritCham Open Pitch Night, special thanks to Thomas Starkey for inviting us and helping share the TeacherTech mission.

Every act of generosity helps us transform old tools into new opportunities. We encourage more companies, like Bean Buddy, to join this initiative and make a lasting impact in communities that need it most.

Together, we can build futures filled with knowledge, comfort, and hope.
