Every year, about 400 Cambodians go to study in Israel, mostly in agriculture, but not only. These students then come back with acquired expertise and a unique experience.

In Cambodia, we have an opportunity to welcome them and help them share that knowledge with their peers by working together, building businesses, or mentoring the next generation.

To help this beneficial circle, the CICC, together with the Embassy of Israel to Cambodia and our Honorary Consul, Neak Oknha Dr. Suo Vireak, has decided to initiate the Alumni Federation of Cambodian Students in Israel, which held its first session on June 23 in the presence of H.E. Dr. Alona Fisher-Kamm, the Israeli Ambassador to Cambodia.

If you are an alumnus or alumna, reach out to us and join this initiative, propelling Cambodia forward through knowledge.

On June 25th, a group of prominent and inspiring business leaders from Cambodia gathered for a courtesy breakfast to meet with the CICC and the Israeli Ambassador to Cambodia, H.E. Dr. Alona Fisher-Kamm.

We discussed the growing collaboration between Cambodia and Israel and laid the foundation for increased trade, exchange, and technology transfer.

Israel is at the forefront when it comes to essential technologies for Cambodia. Agriculture, education, healthcare, and knowledge transfer were all on the menu.

A big thank you for all those who joined and contributed to this lo ely gathering.

On 24 June, the Cambodia–Israel Chamber of Commerce (CICC) and its President, Dr. Moran Hadad, had the great honour of hosting H.E. Dr. Alona Fisher-Kamm, Ambassador of Israel to Cambodia, together with our Guests of Honour, H.E. HENG Sour, Minister of Labour and Vocational Training, H.E. Preap Kol, Minister Attached to the Prime Minister, our Honorary Consul of Israel to Cambodia, Neak Oknha Dr. Vireak Suo, and many distinguished representatives of the Royal Government, the diplomatic corps, the Cambodian and Israeli business communities, and friends of Israel, to celebrate the 78th Independence Day of the State of Israel.

The return of this celebration to Cambodia reflects the strengthening friendship between our two countries and the growing collaboration across diplomacy, trade, innovation, education, and people-to-people exchanges.

Following the Ambassador's successful mission, marked by a series of high-level meetings with the Royal Government of Cambodia, we look forward with great optimism to the many joint initiatives that lie ahead. May this renewed partnership continue to bring peace, prosperity, innovation, and lasting benefits to both our nations.

We believe in the unlimited potential of Cambodia and the stregth of its people, and commit to stand by them in helping to build up the nation and restore its glory.

As one year comes to an end and another resurfaces, it is a good time for us all to pause, reflect on the lessons learned, and examine the reasons behind the events that brought us to this day.

This past year was turbulent, to say the least. Both Cambodia and Israel suffered greatly as old demons resurfaced. Yet it is precisely in times of turmoil that we often discover our true meaning, understand our calling, and find the inner drive that propels us forward.

Out of this turbulence, new opportunities for prosperity and peace have emerged, giving birth to hope for a brighter future, one of growth, collaboration, and success.

Happy Khmer New Year to us all. May this new year chase away the clouds and bring the brightness of a new dawn. May it deliver the promise of abundance and happiness to our people.

Today, we send our warmest regards, love, and appreciation to all the women out there. Those who work the fields and those who fly planes into battle; those who care for their loved ones at home, and those who travel the world in pursuit of opportunity and success, all driven by the same sound commitment to their family and loved ones.

Being a woman today is as challenging as it has ever been. Yet without the strength, resilience, and determination of our women, our societies would not be as strong as they are.

So thank you to the women of the world for being the glue that keeps us all together.

Cambodia wants peace… we have heard this chant across the country since the first attack against its sovereignty on July 24th. Cambodia, like Israel, understands the price of war and is eager to achieve long-lasting peace with its neighbours.

How befitting it is that today, a day after a new ceasefire was signed, Cambodia celebrates its Peace Day.

Now that peace is restored, it is time to look forward and rebuild, time to look ahead and prepare for the future, to build a strong nation that commands peace through strength and success.

Happy Peace Day to our Cambodian brothers and sisters. May the nation thrive and be blessed with peace and harmony.
