MUSLIM AID - CAMBODIA FIELD OFFICE
Muslim Aid established its field office in Cambodia in January 2007, and signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Royal Government of Cambodia and The Ministry of Rural Development.
Muslim Aid is helping vulnerable communities through Education, Health, Economic empowerment, Housing & shelter and seasonal programmes along with emergency and relief operations. It has already implemented various projects such as microfinance, livelihood improvement, skills development, water and sanitation, as well as education sponsors for orphans at various locations in Cambodia. One of our main focus is to work with the destitute and most vulnerable women : the programmes are designed to improve their socio-economic conditions by providing an interest-free loan, skills training, and creating awareness amongst them regarding their rights.
Since 2007, Muslim Aid Cambodia is working in partnership with international agencies such as Australian Aid, Australian Red Cross and UNICEF amongst many others. Our NGO has two permanent branch offices in Kampong Thom and the Kampong Chham province and partner organizations (local NGOs) in the provinces of Kampong Chhnang, Siem Reap and Phnom Penh city.
For more than 10 years now, we are reducing poverty, educating and supporting people in need, but above all, we are serving humanity.
