With firm commitment to continue its noble cause - providing free operations to patients with cleft lip and palate, and other facial deformities, the former Board of Operation Smile Cambodia decided to establish Smile Cambodia. Smile Cambodia was licensed by the Ministry of Interior as a local NGO on 22 June 2015. A new Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed with the Ministry of Health on 29
June 2015. Smile Cambodia has the Khmer Soviet Friendship Hospital as its strong partner through an MOU signed on 10 July 2015, making it possible for the NGO to continue monthly operations at the Smile Center. Smile Cambodia is a member of Smile Asia, an international alliance of charities that provide free surgery to children with facial deformities.
