កញ្ញា សែន ទី ជាគណៈកម្មការ​អេកូ​ទេសចរណ៍​ទឹកធ្លាក់​ទឹក​ឡែង​កៅ បានរៀបរាប់ពីប្រវត្តិ «ទឹកធ្លាក់ឡែងកៅ» ថាកាលដើមឡើយមាន តាចាស់ម្នាក់ បានចិញ្ចឹមកូនខ្លាឃ្មុំមួយក្បាលដែលត្រូវបានចិញ្ចឹមដោយយកចិត្តទុកដាក់ និងផ្តល់ក្តីស្រលាញ់ទៅឱ្យសត្វនោះរហូតដល់ធំ។ ថ្ងៃមួយលោកតាបាននាំខ្លាឃ្មុំនោះទៅលេងផ្ទះបងប្អូនដែលនៅឆ្ងាយពីភូមិ នៅពេលទៅដល់ផ្ទះបងប្អូនរបស់គាត់ បងប្អូនគាត់ក៏បានរៀបចំម្ហូប អាហារ ស្រា សម្រាប់សា្វគមន៍គាត់។ ដល់ពេលថ្ងៃបន្តិចគាត់បានទទួលទានស្រាជាមួយបងប្អូនគាត់រហូតដល់ស្រវឹង។ នៅថ្ងៃរសៀលគាត់ត្រឡប់មកផ្ទះវិញ ដោយគាត់ស្រវឹងស្រាដើរដល់ពាក់កណ្តាលផ្លូវគាត់អស់កំលាំងក៏បានសម្រេចចិត្តសម្រាកនៅក្បែរទឹកធ្លាក់ជាមួយសត្វខ្លាឃ្មុំរបស់គាត់ មួយរំពេចនោះ ក៏ស្រាប់តែមានសត្វខ្លាធំមួយក្បាលលោតមករកខាំគាត់ដែលជាម្ចាស់សត្វខ្លាឃ្មុំនោះ សំណាងល្អខ្លាឃ្មុំក៏បានប្រឹងប្រែងជួយម្ចាស់របស់វារហូតផុតពីគ្រោះថ្នាក់ និងបានខាំខ្លាធំឱ្យស្លាប់បាត់ទៅ។ ក្រោយមកទើបអ្នកភូមិសម្រេចដាក់ឈ្មោះទឹកធ្លាក់នេះថា ទឹកធ្លាក់ «ឡែងកៅ» រហូតមកដល់សព្វថ្ងៃ៕

Leng Kao Eco-Tourism Community is located within the Keo Seima Wildlife Sanctuary and was established in 2023.

Visitors can enjoy bathing in natural mountain waterfalls, admire the lush green forest landscapes, and breathe in the fresh, clean air. The site features a stunning three-tier waterfall, surrounded by massive rock formations, towering trees, and is home to 58 species of wildlife.
This eco-tourism destination also offers a range of services for guests, including traditional meals prepared by indigenous communities, guided experiences around the area, and accommodation options such as camping or homestays.

According to Ms. Sen Thy, a member of the Leng Kao Waterfall Eco-Tourism Committee, the history of “Leng Kao Waterfall” comes from a local legend:
Long ago, an elderly man raised a bear cub with great care and love until it grew up. One day, he brought the bear along to visit relatives living far from his village. Upon arrival, his relatives warmly welcomed him with food and rice wine. After drinking, he became intoxicated.
On his way home, feeling exhausted and drunk, he decided to rest near a waterfall with his bear. Suddenly, a tiger attacked him. Fortunately, the bear bravely defended its owner, saving his life and killing the tiger. Since then, the villagers named the waterfall “Leng Kao”, and the name has remained to this day.

Our community is located in Andong Kraleung Village, Saen Monorom Commune, O’Rang District, Mondulkiri Province. The Leng Kao Waterfall Community-Based Ecotourism is situated along National Road 76, at Kilometer 98 from Phnom Penh, approximately 500 meters from the waterfall.
We offer services including food preparation, homestay accommodations, traditional dance performances, equipment rental, and souvenir sales.
