As the world’s only strictly herbivore marine mammal, the dugong relies entirely on healthy seagrass meadows for survival. Spotting these individuals in motion is a vital biological indicator: their presence confirms the ecological richness of the area and underscores the importance of documenting their habitat to ensure its protection.

- The Trap: The dolphin swims close to the sea floor and uses its tail to powerfully kick up the mud.
- The Mud Wall: This creates a thick underwater cloud, forming a perfect circle around a school of unsuspecting fish.
- The Feast: Panicked, trapped, and blinded by this opaque wall closing in on them, the fish have only one way out: jumping out of the water to escape... right into the wide-open mouths of the dolphins waiting at the surface!
