Mr. Lay Acheada, Acting President of the Cambodian Hotel Association, Kampot and Kep Chapter, paid a courtesy visit to Mr. Eng Kunthea, President of the Cambodia Tourism Association, Siem Reap Chapter. During the meeting, they discussed strategic initiatives aimed at connecting the Siem Reap–Angkor Heritage Tourism Area with Cambodia’s coastal provinces.
The objective of this initiative is to encourage longer visitor stays and increase tourist spending by promoting diversified tourism products and events, linking the cultural heritage sites of Siem Reap–Angkor with Cambodia’s four coastal destinations — Kep, Kampot, Preah Sihanouk, and Koh Kong.
In recent years, the Cambodian Hotel Association – Kampot and Kep Chapter has been actively involved in promoting tourism by collaborating with key industry stakeholders, including travel agencies and destination management companies, to advance the development of Cambodia’s emerging tourism regions.

Connecting Siem Reap–Angkor to the Coastal Region
A key initiative to boost both domestic and international tourism in Cambodia.

With strong collaboration between the Ministry of Tourism and the Cambodian Hotel Association (CHA), this new tourism link aims to encourage longer stays and higher spending through diversified tourism products and events — connecting **Siem Reap–Angkor with Cambodia’s four coastal provinces: Kep, Kampot, Preah Sihanouk, and Koh Kong.

📍 The workshop was held at Sanghamit Hotel, Kep Province, under the presidency of H.E. Huot Hak, Minister of Tourism.
