Dolphin School of English

Dolphin School of English Dolphin School of English provides free English lessons to poor and vulnerable young people from Kratie province. www.dolphinschoolofenglish.com

We welcome international volunteers to help expand their opportunities. Please apply.E: [email protected] Dolphin School of English is a community school put into place at Orrussey I village Sangkat Orrusey, Kratie province, Cambodia. It welcomes foreign volunteers who want to teach English to the young people of the neighbourhood. In this province, State Schools provide the childr

en with few English lessons and their families cannot afford to send them to private schools. The standard of English learning is low because their Khmer teachers also have a low level of English so can only teach in a limited way. Thanks to the Dolphin School of English, they have the opportunity to learn English and converse with foreigners ! It is very important for their future prospects to be able to speak English and interacting with people from all around the world helps with that. The children really enjoy it and it’s a wonderful experience for the volunteers. The classes take place right next to the volunteer house (a beautiful traditional house with three shared bedrooms). The volunteers live within the community and can experience real Khmer village life. We provide students of all ages with English, and IT lessons. Please visit our blog for more information about volunteering opportunities and KAFDOC’s website to discover our many activities !

For the second time, they have donated 81 bicycles, some school supplies and 3 water filters to vulnerable children in Chetraborie District, Kratie Province, Cambodia. This meaningful contribution not only provides the children with a reliable means of transportation but also opens doors to education and brighter opportunities for their future. December 30, 2025 Kantring Village Project (KVP)

This morning, we shared a joyful moment with several vulnerable families in need. Through Dolphin School in Cambodia, teacher Paulette and Brigitte—along with 17 of their friends—generously donated three cows to families living in the worker housing area of Kantring Village, Sangkat Orrusey, Kratie Province.

The worker families wish to express their deepest gratitude to the people of France who showed such a high commitment to supporting them. This cow project, born from a dedicated fundraising effort, is more than just a donation—it is a way to improve their living conditions and encourage parents to keep their children in school while planning for a better future.

During the visit, Paulette and Brigitte shared an inspiring message with the families: "Take care of these cows, look after them, and send your children to school. We will come back to visit you next year." It was difficult to say goodbye because the need here is still so great. It brought tears to our eyes to see the reality of their daily lives: families living in metal houses that trap the intense heat, with very little rice to eat. There are no vegetable gardens, shade trees, or fruit trees surrounding their homes, and their small chicken coops are tucked directly under their living quarters.

We hope this donation provides a foundation of hope for these parents and their children. We are so grateful for your continued support in changing these lives.

The three cows have been named Ah Kro Ham, Chamreoun, and Ah Sor. We are deeply grateful for this support.

Today was a fantastic day. We conducted a field visit to Kantring village to observe how vulnerable families live, what they do for a living, and the challenges they face.

We met three families who work as cement labourers. Their income is very low; they look for manual labour whenever possible, but usually only find work for 5 to 10 days a month, earning between $50 and $100. We noticed that these families are struggling with hunger, yet they are determined to keep their children in schools. One family member is seriously ill with heart disease, even though they have two small children to care for.
The families asked for our help to improve their skills in areas such as raising chickens, cows, and fish. They also requested assistance with restoring a water pond and building chicken coops. Furthermore, they are eager to learn how to grow vegetables and fruit trees around their homes.
