Full circle moments are rare. Over a decade ago, I sponsored Hongda through education, language growth, and early business development. Since then, we’ve walked side-by-side on community and education-based projects that changed many lives. He now runs his own real estate business and I couldn’t be prouder.

Today, I had the privilege stepping forward with Hongda’s young daughter to support her in the same way her father and I once began: through education, growth, and belief in possibility. Education shifts futures, families, and communities and moments like this remind me why this work matters. Grateful for the road behind, and excited for the one ahead.

We have now opened the new Pastoral Care Centre at Kep Gardens, a safe, private space where children and families can access counselling, health support, and protective services. (The new building is just to the left, not shown here, more photos coming soon!)

This project emerged directly from a formal needs assessment undertaken with the Kep Gardens community. It became clear that staff did not have appropriate, confidential spaces to hold sensitive wellbeing conversations with students and families. Establishing a dedicated centre was essential to ensuring safe, dignified and supportive care.

Together with Kep Gardens Association, our team at EDGE Worldwide has created a purpose-built centre that now supports:

• Student and family counselling
• Health, dental, and wellbeing screenings
• Safeguarding and crisis support
• Parenting, financial, and livelihood education
• Youth and community programs

A small dedicated space can change the future of an entire community. This is what partnership looks like: locally led, ethically delivered, and built to last.

Your generosity directly strengthens community wellbeing and ensures that children have the safe support they deserve.
