Kampuchea Action to Promote Education KAPE is a well established Cambodian NGO in the Education sector. Over the years, since its inception in 1999, KAPE has undertaken 22 projects.

It focuses on improving the access and quality of education for poor and vulnerable children, including minorities and children with disabilities. KAPE currently works on 14 different education programs in the basic education sector, focusing mainly on the eastern provinces of Cambodia. Our programs cover over 653 primary schools and 325 secondary schools. Direct child beneficiaries number well over 200,000 children and several hundred teachers. Activities range from implementation of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport's Child Friendly Schools policy, to Girls' Education and School Feeding. Our scholarship program, originally set up to support girls through primary and on to lower secondary school, has most recently been expanded to include tertiary level institutions. «Empowering Teachers to Meet Learners’ Needs: The Transformative Educational Journey of the target schools under the HCC Project intervention in Kamchay Mear district, Prey Veng province»

Under the Happy Cambodian Children (HCC) Project intervention, target primary school teachers in Kamchay Mear District, Prey Veng Province, are transforming everyday classrooms by bridging practical pedagogical techniques with compassionate student support. Through diagnostic assessments for struggling learners, sustained pedagogical mentoring, active library and reading programs, and reflective demonstration lessons, the project equips educators with targeted tools to resolve learning gaps and ensure that no child is left behind.

Guided by the principle to "leave no child behind," the Happy Cambodian Children (HCC) Project has conducted practical, classroom-centered capacity building for primary educators across target schools in Kamchay Mear District, Prey Veng Province. This initiative bridges pedagogical concepts with day-to-day practice by equipping teachers with diagnostic assessment and targeted remedial techniques for struggling learners, continuous pedagogical mentoring and Professional Learning Communities (PLCs), active library reading programs, and reflective demonstration classes.
