Our Story
Sunrise was founded in Kampong Cham in 2001 as a response to the high number of people dying from opportunistic infections due to HIV/AIDS before ARV drugs were readily available. Sunrise currently provides developmental care to ill and marginalized individuals and families through Children’s Education Program, home visitations, and hospice care. In addition, we provide medical care and supplement meals for the most ill persons within Kampong Cham’s provincial prison through our designated programs as well as facilitate Peace Builders Life Skills Training to prisoners who exhibit leadership or hold a leadership role in the prison.
Sunrise is run completely by Khmer staff who are committed to the transformation of our clients.
