កម្មវិធីប្រកួតប្រជែងរបៀបនេះត្រូវបានបង្កើតដំបូងនៅប្រទេសបារាំងនៅឆ្នាំ២០១៤។ កម្មវិធីប្រកួតនេះលើកទឹកចិត្តឱ្យក្រុមហ៊ុនទាំងមូលរកវិធីសាស្ត្រថ្មីក្នុងការគ្រប់គ្រងអគារ និងជួយឱ្

យអ្នកចូលរួមប្រកួតប្រជែងអាចសម្រេចបាននូវគោលបំណងរបស់ពួកគេក្នុងការប្រើប្រាស់ថាមពលអគ្គិសនីឱ្យមានប្រសិទ្ធភាព។ ប្រសិនបើអគាររបស់អ្នកចូលរួមប្រកួតប្រជែងបានអនុវត្តគោលការណ៍ប្រសិទ្ធភាពថាមពលអគ្គិសនីរួចហើយ ពួកគេអាចបន្តការអនុវត្តដដែល។ ប៉ុន្តែប្រសិនបើអគាររបស់ពួកគេមិនទាន់អនុវត្តគោលការណ៍​ទាំងនេះទេ ពួកគេអាចចាប់ផ្ដើមអនុវត្តបាន​។ នៅពេលចុងឆ្នាំ ការប្រកួតនេះនឹងជួយឱ្យអ្នកចូលរួមទាំងឡាយកំណត់បាននូវសកម្មភាពនានាក្នុងការជំរុញនូវការអនុវត្តគោលការណ៍ប្រើប្រាស់ថាមពលអគ្គិសនី ប្រកបដោយប្រសិទ្ធភាព​។ ការប្រកួតនេះនឹងចូលរួមលើកទឹកចិត្តដល់អ្នកពាក់ព័ន្ធរួមមាន ក្រុមហ៊ុន អង្គការ ស្ថាប័ន និងសកលវិទ្យាល័យនានា​ ឱ្យសម្រេចបាននូវគោលដៅក្នុងការប្រើប្រាស់ថាមពលអគ្គិសនីប្រកបដោយប្រសិទ្ធភាព។

Our Vision: A multi-year campaign that will help boost energy efficiency in Cambodia, and result in the mass adoption of energy efficiency principles by Cambodian organisations and citizens. Initially created in France in 2014, the CUBE project motivates the entire company to find new ways of occupying buildings and helps participants to achieve their energy efficiency objectives. The competition can either help to mobilise the building occupants if the building already implemented energy efficiency measures, or to start from scratch an energy efficiency story. At the end of the year, the competition allows to develop best practices, identify actions and initiatives, and provide exemplary evidence that should inspire a whole sector and an entire profession and help companies and universities achieve energy efficiency targets for tertiary buildings.

Last month, building on previous energy-focused initiatives, our Energy Team delivered a two-day Energy Efficiency Training at Prudential Cambodia under the PowerWise program.⚡

The training strengthened the Green Team’s technical and practical understanding of energy efficiency, highlighting how everyday workplace behaviors and operational practices directly influence energy consumption. Participants learned to identify and assess inefficiencies across the campus and apply practical, cost-effective solutions driven by behavior change. The sessions also covered the correct operation and maintenance of energy-related equipment to reduce avoidable energy waste.

Through interactive discussions, real-world case studies, and tailored on-site energy walkthrough assessments, the program empowered Green Team members with the knowledge and confidence to raise awareness among colleagues and promote sustained energy-efficient practices. These efforts contribute to both cost reduction and long-term operational sustainability.

By the end of the program, Prudential and the PowerWise team jointly developed a customized energy implementation plan aligned with Prudential’s operational context, reinforcing the importance of adaptable energy efficiency strategies. Beginning early in the new year, the plan will be rolled out company-wide, with monthly follow-ups to track progress and support continuous improvement.

Last week, our team delivered a Behavior Change Training session for Prudential Cambodia’s Green Team as part of the PowerWise initiative. During this 2.5-hour workshop, we explored why behavior change is essential for achieving long-term energy efficiency and how practical tools can make sustainable actions easier and more consistent.

Through hands-on activities and real workplace examples, participants learned how to apply behavior-change principles to effectively engage employees, build new habits, and integrate energy-saving practices into everyday routines. The goal: equip teams with simple, sustainable, and impactful actions that eventually become second nature.

Earlier this month, the PowerWise team had the pleasure of engaging Prudential Cambodia’s Green Team members in an interactive onboarding session designed to equip, empower, and inspire them to become true energy champions.

During the hour-long discussion, participants explored the importance of energy efficiency, gained a clear understanding of the PowerWise program goals, and strengthened their identity as a Green Team. The session also aligned Prudential’s sustainability objectives with PowerWise’s mission, preparing participants to lead change and motivate their colleagues in upcoming energy reduction initiatives.

Over the next 12 months, we will continue supporting all Green Teams through targeted workshops, sharing best practices, and fostering lasting behavior change that drives measurable energy savings.

Did you know that refrigerators could account for 𝟳% 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗶𝘁𝘆 consumed at your home?❄️

That's why it's important to adopt energy-efficient behaviors relating to these appliances!

By following these energy-efficient behaviors, you could save money on your energy bills and reduce your carbon footprint:

𝗥𝗲𝗳𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗧𝗲𝗺𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗕𝗮𝘀𝗶𝗰𝘀:
1️⃣ Set the refrigerator temperature between 1.5 and 3.5 degrees Celsius for optimal freshness.
2️⃣ Use thermometers to ensure consistent temperature throughout the fridge, especially in older models.
3️⃣ Keep the fridge and freezer full enough to maintain a stable temperature, but not so full that it blocks the airflow, if they aren't full, try putting bags of ice in the freezer, or pitchers of cold water in the fridge.
4️⃣ Avoid inserting hot food or drinks directly into the fridge to reduce energy consumption.

𝗙𝗿𝗲𝗲𝘇𝗲𝗿 𝗧𝗲𝗺𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲𝘀 𝗕𝗮𝘀𝗶𝗰𝘀:
1️⃣ Set the freezer temperature at (-18) degrees Celsius to keep food frozen.
2️⃣ Use an appliance thermometer to monitor and maintain the optimal temperature.
