Seed During 2013, Andrea volunteered with a Cambodian- and a Spanish Organisation for 8 months in Battambang, a city in West Cambodia.

Seed wants to make a contribution to the reduction of poverty in Cambodia by helping underprivileged communities to build sustainable livelihoods for its people. She was impressed by the fact that many young Cambodians, barely able to support their own livelihoods, sacrifice their free time to work without pay for small Cambodian Charitable Support Projects. The acute lack of financial means, howe

ver, often stops these volunteers from working for these Projects on a long term basis. The encounters with these people have moved Andrea so much, that she decided to found a small Charity of her own, aiming to support these local initiatives - and others - wherever possible. Seed’s goal is to make a meaningful contribution to the reduction of poverty in the world by assisting the growth of sustainable communities in Cambodia. It often doesn’t take much to make a significant change in the lives of children and families. Seeing a poor community starting to flourish is such a rewarding experience that Seed will try its best to make this happen over and over again.

Congratulations, Chanthou! 🌟
We are thrilled to share Chanthou’s wonderful achievement: she has secured a job in her field of training, earning a decent salary and gaining the independence to support herself and her family.
This milestone was made possible through her strong foundation and determination, as well as the support she received along the way. Chanthou, who grew up in a remote community, has been supported by SEED since primary school. After successfully completing lower secondary school, SEED facilitated her transition into vocational training at AVEC (Volunteers’ Aid for Cambodian Children), an excellent training centre that provides full sponsorship, practical skills, and attentive care.
Chanthou’s journey is a powerful example of how access to education and vocational training can create real, lasting change. We are incredibly proud of her and wish her continued growth, confidence, and success in the years ahead.

Happy Khmer New Year!
Today we celebrated with 170 students from three schools at Sbaek Khlouk Primary School — a day full of joy, laughter, and traditional Khmer games.

A beautiful highlight: Heidi Hinrichs, an actress from in Germany brought the legend “The Frog Prince” to life and generously gifted 230 loaves of bread and many sets of clothing to the children.

Thank you, Heidi, for your kindness and your big heart. We love you!

Art that lets children grow
In our Butterfly Dance, the children explore new ways to express themselves — through movement, imagination, and joy. Art helps them build confidence, creativity, and a voice of their own.
In Cambodia, opportunities like this are rare, which makes these moments even more meaningful.

Her perseverance and hard work will surely grant her the experience, confidence, and resilience needed for her journey ahead.

Education Endures - No Matter What!
This year has been challenging for all of us, and now more than ever, your support truly matters. In Cambodia, the situation along the Thai border has recently intensified: Since early December, heavy fighting with airstrikes and artillery has displaced hundreds of thousands of people, and despite a new ceasefire, a lasting solution is still out of reach.
Here’s what’s most important for you to know: Our projects continue! Even if public schools were to close, we will remain there for the children – just as we did during the pandemic. The villages where we work are far from the conflict zone, so there is no danger for the children. And no matter how the situation evolves: We will use your donations responsibly and where they make the greatest impact.
You make this possible. With your support, we bring education, hope, and a future.
Let’s work together to make 2026 a good year for these children. Your donation is tax-deductible in Germany and Switzerland –
save on taxes while doing good.
