During 2013, Andrea volunteered with a Cambodian- and a Spanish Organisation for 8 months in Battambang, a city in West Cambodia. She was impressed by the fact that many young Cambodians, barely able to support their own livelihoods, sacrifice their free time to work without pay for small Cambodian Charitable Support Projects. The acute lack of financial means, however, often stops these volunteer

s from working for these Projects on a long term basis. The encounters with these people have moved Andrea so much, that she decided to found a small Charity of her own, aiming to support these local initiatives - and others - wherever possible. Seed’s goal is to make a meaningful contribution to the reduction of poverty in the world by assisting the growth of sustainable communities in Cambodia. It often doesn’t take much to make a significant change in the lives of children and families. Seeing a poor community starting to flourish is such a rewarding experience that Seed will try its best to make this happen over and over again.

The SEED computer class offers an incredible opportunity for sixth-grade students living in remote areas. By introducing digital learning, the program plays a vital role in preventing school dropouts and ensuring these students don't feel left behind when they transition to lower secondary school. This initiative bridges the digital divide, allowing rural students to enjoy the same educational opportunities as their urban peers. Currently, the class serves 24 enthusiastic students—including 12 girls—from three different primary schools within SEED's target areas.

The renovation of the old mat ceiling in the kindergarten and English classroom—which had been in use for 7 years since the building's construction in 2019—has been successfully completed. The old ceiling has been replaced with a new mat ceiling, perfectly restoring its original beauty.

We are delighted to plant an additional 150 trees at Bech Khlouk Primary School, located in Anlong Trach Village, Robas Mongkol Commune, Maung Russei District. Tree Planting Initiative at Arey Primary School
We joined together to plant 150 trees at Arey Primary School, located in Tanout Village, Preah Phos Commune, Koas Krala District.
This initiative aims to:
> Provide natural shade and enhance the school’s beauty.
> Improve the local environment and air quality.
> Educate students on their duty and commitment to environmental protection.

Quarterly Home Visitation and Parent Engagement
As part of our commitment to student success, the SEED team conducts scheduled quarterly home visits to meet with the parents and guardians of our scholarship students. These visits serve as a vital bridge between the organization, the family, and the school.
Objectives:
- Academic Monitoring: To track and discuss the student's learning progress and academic performance for the current term.
- Identifying Challenges: To understand any barriers or difficulties the student may be facing, whether at school or within the home environment.
- Holistic Development: To observe and discuss changes in the student’s behavior, personality, and personal growth.
- Strengthening Support: To foster a strong relationship with guardians, ensuring a supportive and encouraging atmosphere for the student’s continued education.

By engaging directly with families at home, we ensure that every scholarship recipient has the holistic support they need to thrive both academically and personally.

Instead of the hardships of living in a small, crowded house with a chronically ill father and four children all still in school, Ms. Mao’s family has now received a brand-new home.
