កាលពីថ្ងៃពុធ ទី២០ កន្លងមកនេះ ពួកយើងបានរៀបចំវគ្គឆ្លុះបញ្ចាំងជាមួយក្រុមបុគ្គលិកហាត់ការរបស់ អង្គការអនាគតកុមារអន្តរជាតិ លើគម្រោង “សុវត្ថិភាពទឹក” ដើម្បីស្តាប់ពីអារម្មណ៍ ការយល់ឃើញ និងបទពិសោធន៍របស់ពួកគាត់ចំពោះការសម្ដែង និងសកម្មភាពនានា ដែលពួកយើងបានដឹកនាំកន្លងមក។

ការឆ្លុះបញ្ចាំងនេះ មិនត្រឹមតែជួយឱ្យពួកយើងអាចអភិវឌ្ឍសកម្មភាពទៅមុខបន្ថែមទៀតប៉ុណ្ណោះទេ ប៉ុន្តែក៏ជាឱកាសសម្រាប់ពួកគាត់ក្នុងការចែករំលែកអំពីការរៀនសូត្រ និងការមើលឃើញពីការផ្លាស់ប្ដូររបស់ខ្លួនផងដែរ។

Reflection Session on the “Water Safety” Project

Last Wednesday, May 20th, we organized a reflection session with the internship team from Children's Future International Organization on the “Water Safety” project. The purpose of this session was to listen to their feelings, perspectives, and experiences regarding the performances and activities that we facilitated throughout the project.

This reflection session not only helped us identify ways to further improve future activities, but also provided an opportunity for the participants to share their learning experiences and reflect on the positive changes within themselves.

They demonstrated excellent effort and commitment throughout the performance process of this project. The participants shared that they felt proud to see themselves becoming more confident, courageous, and willing to express themselves through theatre arts. In particular, they were able to present educational stories that helped raise community awareness about ways to stay cautious, prevent accidents, and avoid drowning.

We are truly proud of their hard work, creativity, and personal growth throughout this project journey.

កាលពីឆ្នាំមុន ពួកយើងបានផ្ដល់វគ្គបណ្ដុះបណ្ដាលរយៈពេល ៣ ថ្ងៃ ចំនួន ៣ វគ្គ ទៅដល់ក្រុមយុវជនចំនួន ៣ ក្រុម ដោយសហការជាមួយអង្គការដៃគូរបស់យើងគឺ Pro Peace។ កម្មវិធីនេះផ្តោតលើការប្រើប្រាស់សិល្បៈល្ខោន ពិភាក្សា (Forum Theatre) ដើម្បីជួយយុវជនឲ្យយល់ដឹងអំពី មូលដ្ឋានគ្រិះនៃល្ខោនពិភាក្សា ស្វែងយល់ពីទំនាស់ និង ការបង្វែរទំនាស់ ការគិតដោយការត្រិរិះពិចារណា ការស្ដាប់ដោយយកចិត្តទុកដាក់ និងការផ្សារភ្ជាប់ទំនាក់ទំនងវិជ្ជមានជាមួយអ្នកដទៃ។

Training Video on Conflict Transformation Through Theatre: Empowering Youth Through Forum Theatre

Last year, we conducted three 3-day training workshops for three youth groups in collaboration with our partner organization Pro Peace - Cambodia. The program focused on using Forum Theatre as a creative approach to help young people understand the foundations of Forum Theatre, explore conflict and conflict transformation, develop critical thinking, practice active listening, and build positive relationships with others.

Through hands on activities and active participation, the youth had the opportunity to express their ideas, share personal experiences, and explore solutions to conflicts they face in their daily lives. The program also helped strengthen their leadership skills, self-confidence, and ability to work collaboratively as a team.

In this new year, we will continue providing additional training workshops for youth groups to further promote the use of theatre as a tool for self reflection, problem solving, critical thinking, and peaceful conflict transformation. Through interactive activities and participation, young people will continue to develop skills in listening, empathy, teamwork, and respectful communication.

យើងពិតជាមានសេចក្តីសប្បាយរីករាយយ៉ាងក្រៃលែង ដែលក្រុមជនបង្គោលនៃក្រុមអ្នកមានពិការភាព ដែលធ្លាប់បានចូលរួមក្នុងសកម្មភាពជាមួយអង្គការល្ខោនគំនិត តាំងពីឆ្នាំ២០២៣ ក្នុងគម្រោង «បំបែករនាំង» ដែលគាំទ្រដោយមូលនិធិ VOICE និងតាមរយៈគម្រោង «ពន្លកចំណេះ» ឆ្នាំ២០២៥–២០២៦ ក្នុងការជំរុញការពិភាក្សាបែបបរិយាបន្ន ស្តីពីការចូលប្រើប្រាស់សេវាសាធារណៈ និងទីសាធារណៈសម្រាប់ជនមានពិការភាព។ ឥឡូវនេះ ផែនការរបស់យើងបានក្លាយជាការពិតហើយ។ ពួកគាត់បានរួមគ្នាបង្កើតជា «បណ្ដាញអ្នកមានពិការភាពខេត្តបាត់ដំបង» និងកសាងសាមគ្គីភាព ដើម្បីលើកកម្ពស់សិទ្ធិរបស់ជនមានពិការភាព។

កាលពីថ្ងៃទី ៣០ កន្លងទៅនេះ គឺជាការជួបជុំលើកដំបូង ក្នុងគោលបំណងបង្កើតបណ្ដាញ ជ្រើសរើសតំណាងសមាជិក កសាងរចនាសម្ព័ន្ធ ក៏ដូចជាការចែករំលែកអំពីចក្ខុវិស័យ (Vision) និងបេសកកម្ម (Mission) របស់បណ្ដាញ ទៅកាន់សមាជិកទាំងអស់ ដើម្បីធ្វើការរួមគ្នាក្នុងទិសដៅតែមួយ។

Formation of the Battambang Disability Network

We are extremely delighted that the key representatives of persons with disabilities, who have been actively engaged with Lakhon Komnit Organization since 2023 under the “Breaking Barriers” project, supported by the VOICE Foundation, and through the “Ponlok Chomnes” project 2025–2026 in promoting inclusive dialogue on access to public services and public spaces for persons with disabilities, have now turned our vision into reality. They have come together to establish the “Battambang Disability Network” and build solidarity to promote the rights of persons with disabilities.

The meeting brought together a total of 23 participants (15 women), including 12 persons with disabilities (7 women), representing various organizations, associations, and persons with disabilities from Battambang province.

On 30th of last month, the first meeting was held with the aim of establishing the network, selecting representatives, developing the structure, and sharing the Vision and Mission of the network among all members, so that they can work together in a unified direction.

In addition, the program focused on strengthening confidence, mutual understanding, and encouraging active participation and mutual support among members.

សាច់រឿងនេះនឹងនាំទស្សនិកជនឱ្យមើលឃើញកាន់តែច្បាស់ពីតថភាព និងបញ្ហាប្រឈមនានាដែលពួកគាត់បានឆ្លងកាត់ ដែលជារឿយៗត្រូវបានសង្គមមើលរំលង។ យើងចង់ឱ្យគ្រប់ប្លង់នៃវីដេអូនេះ ក្លាយជាកញ្ចក់ឆ្លុះបញ្ចាំងពីភាពលំបាក និងក្តីកង្វល់ដែលបងប្អូនមានពិការភាពកំពុងជួបប្រទះក្នុងការរស់នៅ។

That’s a Wrap! Completion of Filming for the Short Film "Independence"

We have officially finished shooting our latest short film, "Independence." This project is dedicated to the "real life obstacles" that people with disabilities encounter in their daily lives.

This story invites the audience to take a closer look at the realities and challenges that are often overlooked by society. Our goal is for every frame of this film to serve as a mirror, reflecting the difficulties and concerns that people with disabilities face in their pursuit of an independent life.

This meaningful mission was made possible by the active contribution and dedication of our entire team, who worked tirelessly to ensure a smooth production. We would like to express our deepest gratitude to ប៉ោយ ស្ទូឌីយោ POY StudioPoy for their meticulous cinematography, capturing the raw emotions and the reality of these obstacles with such clarity and passion.

3 Days, 3 Locations, 4 Performances: Bringing Vital Water Safety Knowledge to Vulnerable Communities!

Last week was an incredibly meaningful journey as we performed our "Water Safety" story at:
- Pheas Primary School
- Bak Amrek Secondary School
- Children’s Future International Organization (2 special performances with our project partner)

With over 500 participants, the energy was overwhelming! What moved us the most was seeing both children and parents actively debating and sharing their own experiences on how to prevent water accidents. Our greatest goal is to share life saving knowledge through the joy of entertainment.

Through this interactive performance, the audience became more than just spectators they became "problem solvers". Every opinion shared and every discussion on the stage and every practice helped families gain the practical skills needed to protect themselves and their community from water related dangers.

A heartfelt thank you to Children's Future International for the opportunity and for collaborating so closely with us on this vital mission!

From Rehearsal to Community: Sharing Water Safety

We continued our work by conducting one week of rehearsals for the “Water Safety” performance with interns from our partner organization, Children's Future International. During this process, we also experimented with new methods, including incorporating puppetry into the performance, making it more lively and engaging, especially for children.

At present, the rehearsals have progressed smoothly, and we have successfully completed the full storyline. Our team is now preparing to bring this performance to the community tomorrow.

We hope that this performance will help share important knowledge about water safety and effectively raise awareness within the community.

Water Safety: Raising Awareness Through Music and Performing Arts

Yesterday, our team was very busy recording a new song as part of the “Water Safety Project.” We strongly believe that music is a powerful tool to educate children about drowning prevention in a way that is easy to remember and enjoyable.

What makes this even more special is that the song will be used in a “Water Safety” performance next week, in close collaboration with Children's Future International. This is a joint effort to ensure that children in our community gain both knowledge about water safety and a fun learning experience.

Behind the Scenes: Filming “Independence”

The theatre piece “Independence” was previously performed during the Community Voices event in early March.

“Independence” is based on real-life stories that highlight the challenges, barriers, and obstacles faced by persons with disabilities in their daily lives, especially in accessing public services and public spaces.

We are now very excited to bring this story to life in a video format, making it more accessible and allowing it to reach a wider and more diverse audience.

We will continue to share updates once the full video production is completed.

គម្រោងតូច ប៉ុន្តែមានឥទ្ធិពលធំ៖ សុវត្ថិភាពក្នុងទឹកសម្រាប់កុមារ

ពួកយើងកំពុងចាប់ផ្ដើមគម្រោងតូចមួយ ក្រោមសហប្រតិបត្តិការជាមួយអង្គការដៃគូគឺ អង្គការអនាគតកុមារអន្តរជាតិ (CFI) លើការងារ «សុវត្ថិភាពក្នុងទឹក»។ យើងពិតជាមានមោទនភាព និងក្ដីរីករាយយ៉ាងក្រៃលែង ដែលបានចូលរួមក្នុងបេសកកម្មដ៏មានអត្ថន័យនេះ។

បច្ចុប្បន្ន ក្រុមការងារកំពុងស្ថិតក្នុងដំណាក់កាលសាកល្បងរចនាតួអង្គតុក្កតា ដែលជាតួអង្គស្នូលក្នុងសាច់រឿង។ គោលបំណងសំខាន់នៃរឿងនេះ គឺដើម្បីស្វែងយល់ពីទំនាក់ទំនងរវាងកុមារ សហគមន៍ ជាមួយនឹងទឹក ព្រមទាំងបញ្ជ្រាបការយល់ដឹងអំពីសុវត្ថិភាពជុំវិញការប្រើប្រាស់ទឹក។ តាមរយៈការសម្ដែងតុក្កតា យើងជឿជាក់ថានឹងអាចទាក់ទាញចំណាប់អារម្មណ៍កុមារ បង្កើតបរិយាកាសសិក្សាដ៏រីករាយ ងាយយល់ និងផ្ដល់នូវចំណេះដឹងជាក់ស្ដែងដល់ពួកគាត់។

Small Project, Big Impact: Water Safety for Children

We are launching a small project in collaboration with our partner organization, Children's Future International (CFI), focusing on “Water Safety.” We are truly proud and delighted to be part of this meaningful mission.

Currently, our team is in the experimental phase of designing puppet characters, which will serve as the core figures in the storyline. The main objective of this story is to explore the relationship between children, communities, and water, while also raising awareness about safety in and around water use. Through puppet performances, we believe we can capture children’s interest, create a fun and engaging learning environment, and provide them with practical and easy to understand knowledge.

In the next phase, we will continue to develop the storyline, introduce additional characters, and rehearse the performances. We hope that this project will become a valuable part of promoting water safety awareness and help reduce drowning risks within communities.

'We Forgive but we Don't Forget,' by Daniela Wildi and Rotha Suong explores everyday peacebuilding in contemporary Cambodia. In 2025, the documentary team came to a performance of 'Silent Night' by the អង្គការ ល្ខោនគំនិត Lakhon Komnit Organization Women's Group for survivors of domestic violence. We are delighted that this documentary will be featured in the Cambodia International Film Festival 2026!
