កន្លងមក យើងបានរៀបចំវគ្គបណ្ដុះបណ្ដាលជាមួយក្រុមយុវជន ស្តីពី បច្ចេកទេសល្ខោនពិភាក្សា (Forum Theatre) ដើម្បីបង្វែរទំនាស់នៅក្នុងសាលារៀន ដោយសហការជាមួយ Pro Peace Cambodia។ វគ្គបណ្ដុះបណ្ដាលនេះបានផ្តល់ឱកាសឱ្យយុវជនស្វែងយល់អំពីទំនាស់ អំពើហិង្សា ការប្រាស្រ័យទាក់ទង និងវិធីសាស្ត្រឆ្លើយតបចំពោះទំនាស់ដោយសន្តិវិធី តាមរយៈសកម្មភាពសប្បាយៗ អន្តរកម្ម និងការអនុវត្តជាក់ស្តែង។

In the past, we conducted a training workshop with a group of young people on Forum Theatre techniques for transforming school-level conflicts, in collaboration with Pro Peace - Cambodia . The training provided young people with an opportunity to learn about conflict, violence, communication, and peaceful ways of responding to conflict through fun, interactive activities and practical exercises.

Below are some of the feedback and reflections they shared during their participation with us. These reflections highlight their learning experiences, changes in perspectives, and increased confidence throughout the training.

កាលពីថ្ងៃសៅរ៍ សប្ដាហ៍មុន ក្រុមការងាររបស់យើងបានចូលរួមនាំយកការសម្ដែងទៅចូលរួមក្នុងកម្មវិធី ទិវាយុវជនអន្តរជាតិ ដែលរៀបចំដោយអង្គការ Pro Peace -Cambodia ។ ក្នុងកម្មវិធីនេះយើងបាននាំក្រុមយុវជនសម្ដែងសាច់រឿងខ្លីចំនួន ២ រឿង។ សាច់រឿងទី១ និយាយពីការរើសអើង ដោយផ្អែកលើពណ៌សម្បុរស ឈ្មោះ អ្នករៀនចេះ និងអ្នករៀនមិនពូកែ។ ចំណែកសាច់រឿងទីពីរ និយាយអំពីការរើសអើងរវាងសិស្សរៀនថ្នាក់វិទ្យសាស្រ្ត និងសិស្សដែលរៀនថ្នាក់សង្គម។

Last Saturday, our team had the opportunity to bring our performances to the International Youth Day event organized by Pro Peace - Cambodia. During the event, our youth performers presented two short plays highlighting issues of discrimination.
The first play explored discrimination based on skin color, names, and the labeling of students as "smart" or "not good at studying."
The second play focused on discrimination between students studying in the science stream and those in the social science stream.

Both performances sparked active discussions among participants. They shared their perspectives, personal experiences, and ideas for addressing these issues, exploring ways to reduce discrimination and promote mutual respect within their communities.

We hope that performances and discussions like these will continue to empower young people to become active contributors to building a society founded on respect, equality, empathy, and understanding.

យើងកំពុងចាប់ផ្តើមសាកល្បងបង្កើតសាច់រឿងថ្មីមួយ ស្តីពី សុខភាពចំណីអាហារ ដើម្បីជួយបង្កើនការយល់ដឹងអំពីអាហារដែលផ្តល់ប្រយោជន៍ដល់សុខភាព និងអាហារដែលគួរទទួលទាន ឬមិនគួរទទួលទានសម្រាប់កុមារ។

អ្វីដែលពិសេសនោះគឺ យើងនឹងនាំយក អាយ៉ង មកជាតួអង្គសំខាន់ក្នុងសាច់រឿង ហើយសាកល្បងបច្ចេកទេសសម្ដែងជាមួយអាយ៉ងជាថ្មីម្តងទៀត ដើម្បីឱ្យការផ្សព្វផ្សាយកាន់តែមានភាពរស់រវើក សប្បាយរីករាយ និងងាយស្រួលយល់សម្រាប់ទស្សនិកជន។

Creating a New Puppet Story for Healthy Children

We’re excited to begin experimenting with a new story about healthy eating to help raise awareness of foods that are good for children’s health, as well as foods they should eat in moderation or avoid.

What makes this project special is that we’ll be bringing puppets back as the main characters, exploring new puppetry techniques to make the story more engaging, fun, and easy for children and audiences to understand.

This is just the beginning. Stay tuned and support us as we embark on this new journey together!

Sometimes, a single image can speak louder than words, inspiring different perspectives and interpretations from those who see it.

This is an Image Theatre activity, where young people used their bodies to reflect on issues affecting their communities and to encourage meaningful discussions on positive solutions. The activity was part of our training on Conflict and Conflict Transformation, using theatre as a participatory learning approach to promote reflection, dialogue, and active engagement.

Training on Forum Theatre techniques on transforming the conflict

Recently, we conducted a three-day training workshop on Forum Theatre Techniques for Conflict Transformation in collaboration with Pro Peace - Cambodia.

During the training, participants explored key topics such as conflict, violence, and peace, while taking part in various activities and interactive games that helped strengthen relationships, build trust, and create a safe space for sharing ideas and experiences.

Through the integration of learning and theatre arts, participants gained a deeper understanding of peaceful approaches to conflict transformation and the use of theatre as a tool for dialogue, problem-solving, and creating positive change within their communities.

We are truly delighted and appreciative of the participants’ active engagement, courage in sharing their perspectives, and commitment to learning together throughout the workshop. Their presence and participation brought energy, joy, and meaning to the training experience.

We hope that the knowledge and experiences gained from this training will contribute to building stronger relationships and promoting the peaceful transformation of conflicts.

Watching the GOLDEN (R)AGE Performing Arts Festival

At the GOLDEN (R)AGE Performing Arts Festival in Phnom Penh, we had the opportunity to attend and experience a wide range of performances over two days. It was a truly valuable and meaningful experience for us in the field of performing arts.

We watched several outstanding performances, including:
- “The Coronation of King JAYAVARMAN VII”, directed by Prince Sisowath Tesso
- “The Last Great Ape” directed by Dara Heng and Karim Belkacem Saadi
- “ Home?” directed by Puthik Dy
- “ Littoral” directed by Eric Ellul, based on 'Littoral' by Wajdi Mouawad
-“ Our Value” directed by Vorleak Prom, inspired by 'Female Law' by King Ang Duong
-“ Out of My Skin” directed by Sasapin Siriwanij, written by Jean-Baptiste Phou

All of these performances showcased remarkable talent, creativity. As artists ourselves, we felt that this event was not only about watching performances, but also about learning from real artistic practice especially in stage techniques, emotional expression, and storytelling methods.It was a truly inspiring experience that motivates us to continue developing ourselves further in the field of performing arts.

Exploring the Use of Theatre for Conflict Transformation Among High School Students

From June 2nd to June 5th, our team was delighted to collaborate with four target high schools:
- Kdol Donteav High School
-Srok Ek Phnom High School
-Samdach Ouv High School
-and Net Yong High School
to conduct half-day introductory workshops on the use of theatre for conflict transformation, in partnership with Pro Peace.

The workshops engaged a total of 291 students, providing them with an opportunity to explore the nature of conflict and examine it from different angles and perspectives through creative and enjoyable theatre-based activities. Through these interactive sessions, students not only gained valuable knowledge and insights but also built new relationships, made new friends, and strengthened their self-confidence.

In addition, we shared information about the upcoming 3-day intensive training program on using theatre for conflict transformation. We were excited to see a strong level of interest from the students, with 65 students registering to participate in the next training phase.

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to the school management teams, teachers, and all participating students for their support and active engagement in making these workshops a success.

កាលពីថ្ងៃពុធ ទី២០ កន្លងមកនេះ ពួកយើងបានរៀបចំវគ្គឆ្លុះបញ្ចាំងជាមួយក្រុមបុគ្គលិកហាត់ការរបស់ អង្គការអនាគតកុមារអន្តរជាតិ លើគម្រោង “សុវត្ថិភាពទឹក” ដើម្បីស្តាប់ពីអារម្មណ៍ ការយល់ឃើញ និងបទពិសោធន៍របស់ពួកគាត់ចំពោះការសម្ដែង និងសកម្មភាពនានា ដែលពួកយើងបានដឹកនាំកន្លងមក។

Reflection Session on the “Water Safety” Project

Last Wednesday, May 20th, we organized a reflection session with the internship team from Children's Future International Organization on the “Water Safety” project. The purpose of this session was to listen to their feelings, perspectives, and experiences regarding the performances and activities that we facilitated throughout the project.

This reflection session not only helped us identify ways to further improve future activities, but also provided an opportunity for the participants to share their learning experiences and reflect on the positive changes within themselves.

They demonstrated excellent effort and commitment throughout the performance process of this project. The participants shared that they felt proud to see themselves becoming more confident, courageous, and willing to express themselves through theatre arts. In particular, they were able to present educational stories that helped raise community awareness about ways to stay cautious, prevent accidents, and avoid drowning.

We are truly proud of their hard work, creativity, and personal growth throughout this project journey.
