BAI ALAI The programme is funded by the Swiss Government and implemented by HELVETAS Swiss Intercooperation i The consecutive phase is planned until 2023.

The programme is designed and financed by the Government of Switzerland and is being implemented by HELVETAS Swiss Intercooperation in consortium with Aga-Khan Foundation. Our work began in 2013 and the first phase will end in 2018. The programme aims to reduce poverty in two districts Alai and Chon-Alai by increasing income and self-employment, in particular for women and youth. This objective is

going to be achieved via Making Markets Work for Poor (M4P) approach by facilitating the rise of local and regional markets, leading to reduced inequalities and improved perception of life perspectives, especially for local youth.
