When Aruyel Nurbekova (KIMEP’22) first visited New York City during her U.S.-CAEF Capstone Internship in Washington, DC in the fall of 2022, she promised herself she would return. Captivated by the city’s energy, opportunities, and vibrant spirit - so much like her own - she knew this was only the beginning.

Today, we are proud to share that Aruyel has come back to her favorite city as a Bolashak Scholar and Master’s student in Applied Analytics at Columbia University. An Ivy League journey that once felt like a dream is now her reality!
Aruyel is diving into data-driven insights, leadership, and applied generative AI, with a vision to optimize processes across industries and shape the future of business operations. At Columbia, she’s already embraced the broad range of perspectives in her program, the strong community support, and the incredible cultural life of New York City.
