Launch of C5+O.N.E. Cohort Five in the Kyrgyz Republic: Advancing English for the Economy
In the beginning of September, the C5+O.N.E. (Opening Networks through English) Program started classes for the Cohort Five focusing on “English for the Economy” in the Kyrgyz Republic. In Bishkek, almost 140 participants were welcomed, representing a diverse range of sectors –government, private sector, non-governmental organizations and media.
Over the course of nine months, participants will engage in comprehensive English language training, a national networking event, a national workshop (graduation ceremony), and a regional conference. The initiative aims to boost English proficiency, promote regional cooperation, and enhance engagement with U.S. counterparts. Cohort Five marks a significant milestone in enabling Central Asian professionals to build cross-border networks and collaborate more effectively with peers across the region and in the United States.
The C5+O.N.E. Program is funded by the Bureau of South and Central Asian Affairs of the U.S. Department of State and administered by the American Councils for International Education.
