Athanas Mbele Foundation remains committed to ensuring that no child is left behind because of hunger. The smiles on the faces of these students inspire us to continue expanding our school feeding program and reaching even more learners in need.

We believe that a well-fed child is better prepared to learn, dream, and build a brighter future. As foundation we will continue investing in education, nutrition, and hope—one meal, one school, and one child at a time.

Day Three of the Athanas Mbele Foundation's 10-Tonne School Feeding Programme was another meaningful step towards ensuring that no learner studies on an empty stomach.
Today, we successfully delivered quality maize to six more schools across Wundanyi Constituency:

Today marked another successful milestone as the Athanas Mbele Foundation continued the rollout of its 10-tonne School Feeding Programme, delivering quality maize to seven more schools across Wundanyi Constituency.

Athanas Mbele Foundation Continues Delivery of Maize to Schools in Mwanda Mgange Ward

The Athanas Mbele Foundation has continued implementing its school feeding support programme through the distribution of quality maize to Ikuminyi Comprehensive School and Marungu Comprehensive School in Mwanda Mgange Ward.

The two institutions are among 32 schools across Wundanyi Constituency set to benefit from the Foundation's donation of 10 tonnes of maize, an initiative aimed at strengthening school feeding programmes and ensuring learners have access to nutritious meals.

Athanas Mbele Foundation, is proud to launch Phase 1 of our Maize Distribution Programme, targeting 30 comprehensive schools and reaching over 7,800 pupils across Wundanyi.

This is more than food, it's an investment in the health, concentration, and future of our children. A well-fed child learns better, grows stronger, and dreams bigger.

Installation of a Solar Street Light at Kishushe Iriwa Ja Punda Water Point by Athanas Mbele Foundation.

This initiative is aimed at enhancing security around the water point and ensuring that residents can safely access clean water during the night. Access to water is a basic necessity, and no one should have to risk their safety while fetching it.

Long hours spent waiting in water queues reduce productivity, limit time available for income-generating activities, and contribute to the cycle of poverty affecting many households. By improving access to water at all hours, we hope to ease this burden and help residents make better use of their time.

We remain committed to supporting community development through practical solutions that improve the lives of our people.

Boreholes for Dr Aggrey & Cannon Kituri

We are proud to share that the Athanas Mbele Foundation has deployed a team of hydrogeologists to Canon Kituri and Dr. Aggrey schools to conduct comprehensive groundwater assessments, a step that has been long overdue for these communities.

The team is on the ground carrying out geological mapping, satellite data analysis, and advanced geophysical surveys to identify underground water sources, determine their depth, and confirm their suitability for human consumption.

We are doing our best to reduce Water scarcity in these schools, and I am personally committed to changing that. Once the surveys are complete and resources are in place, borehole drilling will begin without delay, delivering a sustainable, reliable water supply for learners, teachers, and the families that surround these institutions.

Clean water is not a privilege. It is a basic human right. The Athanas Mbele Foundation will continue investing in solutions that are practical, lasting, and genuinely transformative for our people.

The foundation has provided 10 free community tents and chairs for public use, helping communities access shelter during:

Funerals and bereavement gatherings
Community meetings
Religious events
Social functions
Other public gatherings

The initiative is aimed at providing shelter to the community, reducing the burden on families and groups that may not be able to afford tent and chair hire services.
