The camp was a great success. Here is a little dive into what actually was going on at Kanyangi. 198 patients were screened and treated and 31 community members benefitted from cataract surgeries.

This team here has done a great Job at Kanyangi Level IV Hospital. 196 patients were screened and treated for various eye conditions. The team conducted successful cataract surgeries and the community members are happy. As always, we are grateful for all the people who continue to support our work to reach to needy community members of grassroot Kitui County.

The eye surgical camp at Kanyangi has been amazing and many patients have continued to benefit from the cataract surgical camp. We continue to impact the community. The camp goes on until tomorrow.

What a week this has been. Today the amazing IEA team is at Kyumbe for the ear screening and treatment. An amazing experience for community members as they learn about ear care and also benefit from the free screening and treatment.

Today marks 25 years since Impact East Africa’s registration in Kenya. We have achieved significant milestones, preventing disability and serving four counties. Our work has restored hearing, improved eye health, provided safe water, enhanced immunization rates, supported school health, and advanced maternal nutrition. 🌍💖💧🏫

It has been a busy week here at IEA. We continued to reach out to our community members. Through our Community Outreach program, IEA visited the Maseki clinic for MCH services on Tuesday. This week, a new mothers club was established at Kambembe, in Mwingi West. We continue to take action to prevent disability one community at a time.

Mother clubs intervention continues to flourish. One family at a time. The Kikiini Mothers Club greatly contributed to the improvement of nutrition amongst the community members. More women, men and youths are joining the mother clubs.

This past week the IEA team had the opportunity to serve community members at Kasevi Dispensary. IEA conducted free ear and eye screening, basic health education on ear care and also offered ear treatment to those that required it.
