The African Association of Agricultural Economists (AAAE) is a not-for-profit organization and a continent wide network of Agricultural economists working in agriculture and broadly related fields of applied economics on issues related to improving the productivity of African agriculture. The association has over 600 registered active members working in agricultural and resource economics as well as in other social sciences around the world.

This 24-month fellowship aims to empower African women scientists by strengthening their leadership, technical expertise, and influence in climate-resilient agricultural research. The program includes
mentorship, leadership training, and capacity-building in areas such as gender integration, science communication, and climate adaptation.

The opportunity is open to experienced women agricultural scientists (minimum 7 years’ experience and a master’s degree) from Egypt, Morocco, Ghana, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, and Senegal.
