Business Ireland Kenya

Business Ireland Kenya An Irish – Kenya Business Network formed to support growth in trade between Kenya and Ireland.

The Business Ireland Kenya (BIK) network was established in 2013 by the Embassy of Ireland in Kenya to offer support towards the enhancement of relations, trade, and investment between the two countries. Business Ireland Kenya (BIK) works to increase trade between Kenya and Ireland by linking Irish investors and firms with the networks, service providers, and potential business partners they need

to thrive in Kenya’s exciting and fast-growing market. It works closely with and provides quick connections to entities that promote business between the two countries, including the Embassy of Ireland in Kenya, the European Business Council, Enterprise Ireland, the Kenya Irish Society, civil society, and similar associations across the continent.

The Business Ireland Kenya (BIK) Committee, led by Katherine Muldoon FCIArb Muldoon, was pleased to engage with H.E. George O***a, Kenyan Ambassador to Ireland in a constructive discussion focused on strengthening bilateral collaboration between Kenya and Ireland.

The conversation highlighted a number of emerging opportunities across key sectors including trade, education, tourism, and investment. In particular, there was strong alignment on the importance of:

* Enhancing direct trade linkages to improve market access and competitiveness for Kenyan products.
* Supporting greater student mobility and knowledge exchange between both countries.
* Unlocking tourism potential through strategic partnerships and storytelling
* Exploring new avenues for collaboration in areas such as healthcare, sports, and diaspora engagement

As economic and cultural ties between Kenya and Ireland continue to deepen, there is a growing opportunity for businesses and institutions to position themselves at the forefront of this evolving relationship.

We look forward to building on this engagement and working with partners across both markets to translate these discussions into tangible outcomes.
