Yesterday at Moi County Referral Hospital, Voi, healthcare workers and students participated in an SSV session on the Pirani Scoring Method, strengthening their skills in the early assessment and monitoring of clubfoot.

By investing in continuous learning and practical capacity building, we are supporting quality care and improving outcomes for children born with clubfoot.

Today we held an awareness session for 34 healthcare workers from across Mombasa County, including MCH and maternity nurses from various health facilities. The session provided an opportunity to enhance understanding, share experiences and strengthen capacity to deliver quality services to mothers, children and communities.

Together, we continue building a more informed and responsive healthcare workforce.

Today, Clubfoot Care for Kenya, Hope Walks, healthcare professionals, caregivers, development partners and advocates came together to commemorate World Clubfoot Day 2026 through Kenya's first-ever National Clubfoot Symposium.
Held under the theme "See Early. Treat Early. RunFree.", the symposium provided an opportunity to reflect on the progress made in clubfoot care, share knowledge and experiences, strengthen partnerships and reaffirm our commitment to ensuring that every child born with clubfoot has access to timely, quality treatment.

As we marked this important occasion, we celebrated more than 20 years of impact, during which over 30,000 children have accessed life-changing treatment through strengthened clubfoot services now available across nearly 30 hospitals in Kenya.

Our sincere appreciation goes to the healthcare workers, caregivers, partners, and advocates whose dedication continues to transform lives and create brighter futures for children born with clubfoot.

Together, we remain committed to a future where every child is seen early, treated early, and given the opportunity to run free.

Every child deserves the chance to walk, play and run free.

This World Clubfoot Day 2026, we are raising awareness about the power of early detection and timely treatment of clubfoot. When identified at birth and treated early, children can achieve life-changing outcomes and reach their full potential.

From healthcare workers making the first diagnosis to specialists, caregivers and families supporting treatment, every role matters in helping children take confident steps toward a brighter future.

See Early. Treat Early. RunFree.

🇰🇪 Happy Madaraka Day!

As we commemorate Kenya’s journey toward self-governance and national development, we reaffirm our commitment to ensuring that every child has the opportunity to walk, play, learn and reach their full potential.

True freedom is reflected in a society where no child is left behind and where access to quality healthcare and essential support services is available to all.

Together, let us continue working toward a more inclusive, equitable and empowered Kenya.

We are officially at full capacity for the symposium.

To everyone who reached out, registered, shared the posters and showed interest in being part of this conversation, thank you for the overwhelming support. The response has been bigger than we imagined.
While we are no longer taking invites for this edition, this is only the beginning.
There will be more spaces, more conversations and more opportunities to engage in the future.

See you at the next one.

Today, on International Missing Children’s Day, we join the world in raising awareness on child disappearances and standing in solidarity with affected families.

In Kenya alone, over 10,000 children have been reported missing, a heartbreaking reminder of the urgent need to strengthen child protection and community vigilance.

This year’s campaign is marked by the colour blue, a symbol of hope, protection and remembrance for every missing child and their loved ones.

At Clubfoot Care for Kenya, we believe every child deserves safety, care and the chance to thrive. Let us continue creating communities where children are protected, seen and supported.
