Another Back to school session, another story of impact shared.

This 14th back to school session we had an amazing discussion on purpose.

Remember when you were a teen and every adult kept asking, “So... what do you want to be in the future?”😅

Meanwhile, you were just trying to survive school, friendships, family expectations, and assignments after assignments 🤦🏾‍♀️

The truth is, You don’t have to have everything figured out for you to become who you are meant to be.

What you do need is the right environment, the right conversations, and the right people around you.

That’s exactly what Made For More – Teens Session is all about. It’s a space to laugh, learn, ask the “awkward” uncomfortable questions, hold conversations, make new friends, challenge yourself and leave knowing you’re capable of so much more than you think.

Because your story doesn’t end with where you are today. It starts with believing that “You were made for more!”

At Soweto Academy, we made it happen!

Saturday the 4th of July wasn’t just an event, it was a MOVEMENT🙌🏾

We laughed, we had fun, we learned, we talked, and we leveled up.
From hype sessions that got us on our feet, to interactive discussions where we tackled real issues…this is what happens when teens get a space to be themselves, grow, and actually have fun doing it.

We are building a platform where learning meets fun, it doesn’t have to be boring, and fun doesn’t have to be empty. And you all showed up with exactly the energy we needed.

Thank you to our amazing speakers, our team that made it happen, and every single person who walked through those doors with open minds and big vibes. You made Saturday unforgettable to the learners 😊

Here’s to more ✨

Back to school moments don’t have to come with anxiety💫

They can, and should, be filled with joy, enthusiasm, and great moments as we look forward to the term ahead.

This past weekend, we celebrated our 13th Back to School Edition, and it was one for the books 🥳

Under the theme “Back to School, Back to Confidence,” we brought together an incredible community of young learners, a few parents and mentors for an afternoon of connection, encouragement, and pure fun.

We had;

Talk Sessions – Real conversations that matter on

· Personal Identity – Helping young people understand who they are, own their stories, and walk into the new term with self-assurance.
· Personal & Menstrual Hygiene – Open, shame-free discussions about managing their bodies and periods with dignity, especially while at school.
· Introduction to Reusable Sanitary Products – We had an introduction on cost-effective alternatives that keep girls in class with confidence.

Games & Icebreakers – From team challenges to laugh out loud moments, we saw shy smiles turn into full-on laughter.

Snacks & Smiles – Because everything’s better on a full belly. Snack treats and happy break-time vibes are very necessary 😅
Colour Festival – The highlight of the day! A burst of pinks, blues, yellows, and blues flying through the air, symbolizing the beauty of showing up as your true, confident self 💃🏾

No anxiety. No pressure. Just joy, color, community, and practical tools to thrive.

Thank you to everyone who showed up, showed out, supported and threw color like confetti. You made our 13th edition unforgettable.

Here’s to starting the term not just prepared, but confident in who we are, in our bodies, and in our futures. 🧡

Swipe to see the smiles, the colors, and the energy ➡️

Here’s to taking on this term with confidence!

Our 2025 💛

In line with our vision that is to raise a team of young people who are informed, empowered and mentored into living their purpose and achieving their dreams, we have had major engagements and interactions with young people from different spaces involving them in various personal development activities.

From Back to school sessions to Post Highschool Teen Training to Teen Trainings sessions to Our Gala Celebrations, we have seen growth in different aspects.

In this past year, we have seen the impact of our work, we have felt the support of our friends and family and we have had a bigger reach that is a testament of the work we do.

To all who were part of the story in one way or another, thank you! We are because you are 💛
