Watamu Association The Official page of the Watamu Association

Watamu Association is the association of the residents of Watamu, Kenya, created to maintain the beauty, ambience and security of the area and provide a forum for the local community. We represent residents of Watamu with regards to services such as road maintenance, power supply, water distribution, streetlight maintenance and rubbish collection. We also work on maintaining the environment, legal development and supporting the Kilifi County Association to help regulate rates hikes.

Just one month to go until the Sokoke Forest MTB Challenge! 🚴‍♂️🌿

From 1-3 May, riders will tackle the hills, (maybe) muddy slopes, and sandy trails of the Arabuko-Sokoke Forest and neighbouring areas. The event raises funds for the Arabuko-Sokoke Schools and Eco-Tourism Scheme (ASSETS), highlights one of East Africa’s globally important coastal forests, and promises a thrilling experience under the coastal sun and palms.

There’s a ride for everyone: family-friendly routes, timed races, GPS-based race and the 80 km ultimate challenge for those ready to push their limits. E-bikers are welcome too!

Three days of adrenaline, sweat, and fun, all for a worthy cause.

All race details: https://sokokeforestmtb.or.ke/
Register now: https://business.enovepay.com/rider-registrations/register/64

Will we see you on the trails?

The watamu association supports affordable housing but not in this location and not without due process and consultation being followed.

What is your view?
