FAKE NEWS ALERT — KNOW THE TRUTH

What Hon. Irene Kasalu is spreading is not from Kenya. Not even close.

That video was pulled from a Somalia based TikTok account and uploaded weeks ago.Someone deliberately picked it up, stripped the context, and is now using it to divide communities and inflame anger. That is not leadership that is dangerous irresponsibility.

The footage is from Afgooye District, Lower Shabelle, Somalia one of the most fertile and agriculturally rich areas in the entire Horn of Africa. The people of Lower Shabelle have been farmers for generations. A community that feeds itself and others.

So the idea that Somalis don't farm? That is not just wrong it is a manufactured lie, designed to paint an entire people as something they are not.

Hon. Kasalu, leaders are judged by how they act in moments of tension. Using fake, recycled footage to add fire to an already sensitive situation is a betrayal of the communities that trust you. Verify before you post. Lead before you react.

Both Somali and Kamba communities have suffered. Both deserve fairness. Both deserve justice. The authorities must act arrest those responsible and compensate those who lost property.

No community should be villainized while grieving.

Rise above tribe. Rise above politics. Be Kenyan.

FAI FAMILY CLOSES RANKS AS IT EYES WAJIR GUBERNATORIAL SEAT IN 2027

One of Wajir County's most formidable political dynasties is making its move.

The Fai family — vast in numbers, deep in talent, and rich in leadership pedigree — has thrown its full weight behind a united push for the Wajir gubernatorial seat in the 2027 general elections. In a powerful show of solidarity, the family convened a high-level meeting in Nairobi, bringing together political heavyweights, aspirants, and family representatives to chart a single, decisive path forward.

The message was clear: the Fais are not coming to participate they are coming to lead.

Through a structured and inclusive nomination framework, the family resolved to set aside individual ambitions in favour of collective purpose, with all aspirants formally committing to rally behind one consensus candidate to be unveiled by end of June 2026.

Seated at the table was a constellation of distinguished Fai leaders that few families in the region can match H.E. Mohamed Abdi Mohamud (Chairman and Political Caucus), Hon. Dr. Hassan Mohamed, Hon. Mohamed Elmi, Hon. Ugas Sheikh Mohamed, Hon. Hassan Wehliye, Hon. Issa Ahmed, Hon. Bash Gedi, Hon. Rashid Kassim, Dr. Kassim Bishar (Chairman, Fai Welfare Association), and Mohamed Osman(Chairman, Mediation Committee) alongside numerous family members and representatives.

This is a family that has produced leaders across generations and in 2027, it intends to reclaim its rightful place at the helm of county leadership. United, disciplined, and resolute, the Fais are gearing up for glory.
