What a powerful and engaging day it was in Wajir! 🙌

Worthy Vision, in partnership with KICKTAnet, under the EDACR Project funded by the UK Digital Access Programme, successfully convened a VSLA Stakeholders Workshop in Wajir, today. The workshop brought together VSLA leaders, Wajir County Government representatives, representatives from; financial institutions, Women Enterprise Fund, NGAAF, BOMA, CSOs and private sector partners.

From sharing real experiences within VSLA groups to exploring business mentoring opportunities, strengthening government support, and building meaningful partnerships, it was clear that collaboration is key to sustainable community growth.

Worthy Vision is now working with Community Digital Champions to cascade the digital skills gained through the UK-DAP initiative to VSLAs, supporting them in their daily activities and helping them keep pace with a rapidly changing digital landscape.

This , Worthy Vision joins the call to UNiTE to End Digital Violence Against All Women and Girls.
Online violence—harassment, bullying, threats, intimidation, and exploitation—causes real harm. It silences potential, undermines confidence, and limits opportunities for women and girls.

Through our digital safety trainings, youth mentorship, and community dialogues, we empower individuals to recognize abuse, promote respect, and build safer online spaces.
We stand with survivors, amplify their voices, and advocate for accountability in both digital and physical environments.

Let us come together.
Let us speak up.
Let us protect safe digital futures for all.

Worthy Vision, through the UNDP Amkeni Wakenya, today convened a vibrant engagement forum bringing together criminal justice actors and civil society organizations at the Wajir County Guest House. The forum created a rare and meaningful space for dialogue, reflection, and joint problem-solving among institutions that play a critical role in shaping the justice journey of ordinary citizens.

The primary aim of the engagement was to strengthen collaboration and build deeper partnerships between state actors and CSOs in order to enhance access to justice for vulnerable and marginalized communities across Wajir County. By bringing all actors around the same table, the session sought to address persistent obstacles that hinder fair, timely, and survivor-centred access to justice, ranging from limited reporting, delays in case handling, weak coordination, to cultural barriers that discourage community members from seeking formal redress.

Participants openly shared experiences from their daily work, highlighted the structural and community-level challenges they face, and collectively explored practical solutions. Civil society groups emphasized the lived realities of survivors and communities, while justice actors, including police, ODPP, probation, court representatives, and administrative officers, provided insights into institutional gaps and opportunities for strengthening response mechanisms.

The forum ended with a renewed sense of shared purpose, stronger commitment to collaboration, and a clear recognition that access to justice can only be achieved when state and non-state actors work hand in hand.

Our organisation was well represented at the ongoing Northern Region Peer Learning and Experiential Field Visits organised by UNDP Amkeni Wakenya PLEAD Project, held at Big Tusks Hotel in Marsabit Town.

The purpose of the visit was to provide a platform for partners to learn from each other’s interventions, particularly in areas such as legal aid clinics, Alternative Justice Systems (AJS), and other community-based programs.

This engagement offered valuable insights, strengthened collaboration among partners, and reinforced our shared commitment to enhancing access to justice across the region.

Worthy Vision, with support from Christian Aid, Kenya , organized a two-day capacity-building forum that brought together 40 diverse women leaders from across Wajir County. The training aimed to strengthen their ability to advocate for gender equality, equitable resource distribution, and increased women’s participation in leadership and decision-making spaces. The women leaders enhanced their knowledge of key legal and policy frameworks that advance gender equality, including the two-thirds gender rule, economic and social rights, affirmative action for marginalized groups, matrimonial and property rights, the right to human dignity, and the Sexual Offences Act. This deeper understanding equipped them with the practical skills, awareness, and confidence needed to advocate effectively for inclusive change and gender justice within their communities.

Amplifying Voices That Matter — Wajir Speaks Up!

This week, something powerful happened in Wajir.
Youth and women-led community-based organizations came together under one roof — not just to talk, but to be heard.

Through a sensitization meeting organized by Worthy Vision, we connected these changemakers with local media owners to ensure that the voices of the marginalized and minority groups are no longer left in the shadows.

From passionate young leaders to determined women shaping their communities, the conversations echoed one message: every story deserves a spotlight.

By strengthening partnerships between the media and grassroots organizations, we are building a louder, united voice for inclusion, equality, and representation across Wajir.

Together, we are not just telling stories — we are transforming them into tools of empowerment.

When women rise, communities thrive.

This past week, Worthy Vision, with support from Christian Aid, Kenya , embarked on a journey of empowerment in Wajir County.

From the bustling centers of Habaswein to the heart of Griftu, women-owned small businesses gathered to learn, share, and explore new ways of diversifying their enterprises. The journey concluded with two impactful days of training at Wajir Palace Hotel, where women entrepreneurs came together not just as business owners but as dreamers and doers building a stronger tomorrow.

The sessions went beyond business—they were about resilience, innovation, and creating opportunities that uplift families and entire communities.

One participant shared how she now sees her business not just as a means of survival, but as a platform for growth and impact in her community. That’s the spirit of Worthy Vision—unlocking potential and planting seeds of change.

Together with our partners, we are proud to continue walking alongside women entrepreneurs in Wajir, equipping them with skills, knowledge, and hope to rewrite their business stories.

Because when women are empowered to diversify and grow, they don’t just change their own lives—they transform their communities.
