The Lord's House of Hope

The Lord's House of Hope But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength.

They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. ~ Isaiah 41:31

Yesterday's activities were geared towards team building.
We did the "Web of connection" using a thread. One had to say something nice about oneself then pass over the tread to someone else as well as tell them something nice that makes them feel connected to them.

We later did a "Roll the ball over" The ball had to roll into a cup with instruction on what to do.

The activities brought about magical moments of laughter fun and so much to learn. The children felt relaxed and excited to know how or what other beautiful aspects get them connected to each other.

Happy Easter Everyone, Subject: A Joyful Easter Adventure,
Today was nothing short of extraordinary!
The morning began in a spirit of celebration, with the children waking up joyfully proclaiming “HE HAS RISEN; HE IS NOT THERE!” Their voices filled the house with energy and set the tone for the day.
After church, we launched into the Treasure Hunt of Jesus. We had hidden 34 ‘Jesus’ figures in 9 different places, each spot marked by a unique color. The children followed step-by-step instructions, eagerly searching and discovering each hidden treasure. Their excitement and teamwork made the activity unforgettable.
We then moved on to a creative Easter craft session themed around “HE HAS RISEN.” The kids poured their imagination into the project, and the results were simply amazing, bright, heartfelt, and full of meaning.
Later, we visited the library where Badi handed out Easter cards to the children and staff. The joy on their faces was priceless, and the atmosphere was filled with gratitude and happiness.
Finally, we gathered for a mouthwatering Easter dinner prepared by Uncle B: barbeque chicken, oven-baked potatoes, mixed vegetables, refreshing drinks, and candies. It was the perfect ending to a day filled with faith, fun, and family.
This Easter was truly one to remember, memorable, meaningful, and overflowing with joy.

For the evening devotion, we have had a reflective moment on the burial of our saviour.

We read the book of Luke 23: 53, had a short time to meditate on it. Believing that even in the grave Jesus was still LORD, we walked out of the devotion quietly on a hymn "Jesus Remember me" off to our rooms for the night.

Happy Easter to you all

Today we began the day with board games, which brought lots of fun and laughter. Later, we transitioned into a meaningful session focused on the Last Supper. We explained to the kids what the Last Supper means and emulated what Jesus did when He washed His disciples’ feet, teaching the importance of serving others. The children took part by washing one another’s feet, a beautiful act of humility and service.
We then shared bread, symbolizing the body of Christ, and juice, representing His blood. This experience reminded us of the unity we have in Christ and the love that binds us together.
The Last Supper is important because it was Jesus’ final meal with His disciples before His crucifixion. It is where He instituted Holy Communion, teaching us to remember His sacrifice and to live in unity. It also showed us the true meaning of humility and service, as He washed His disciples’ feet and commanded us to love one another. Today’s activity helped the children not only learn about this event but also experience its meaning in a practical and memorable way.
It was a truly enriching day, filled with joy, learning, and spiritual growth

Today's activities involved reflection on the passion of Christ( Easter time) and identifying one thing that you are thankful to God for. The kids were thankful for protection, home, school, gift of salvation, love of God, the hand of God. They expressed their gratitude in a drawing. They also had fun crocheting and late taking a jog.
