BREAKING NEWS
A section of young people has openly criticized the Department for Youth Affairs over what they term as “unfulfilled promises and misplaced priorities.”
The youths are now demanding answers regarding the long-awaited County Studio project that was promised to support creatives and nurture talent across the county.
Questions are also being raised on the impact of the recently held Youth Extravaganza, with many asking how ordinary youths benefited from the event beyond publicity and speeches.
They are demanding accountability on the promised Talent Centres meant to empower young people through sports, arts, innovation, and entrepreneurship.
“Where are the talent centres? Where is the county studio? Or is it the same script every year for a few people to pocket money while youths continue suffering?” posed one youth leader.
The growing frustration reflects increasing pressure on leaders to shift from promises to practical empowerment programs that directly benefit young people on the ground.
