Yesterday 3rd June, Diabetes Awareness Trust (DAT) engaged Community Health Assistants (CHAs) and Community Health Officers (CHOs) in Murangโa County in a sensitization session on the #๐ฝ๐ ๐ ๐๐ฝ๐๐ฃ๐๐๐๐ช๐๐๐๐ฅ๐๐๐ฅ๐๐ง๐.
Together, we explored how nutrition, dietary diversity, food safety, and sustainable food systems can play a powerful role in preventing and managing non-communicable diseases such as diabetes and hypertension.
The session was practical, interactive, and focused on equipping participants with knowledge they can share directly with households and communities.
But this is just the first step.
Next week, we take FoodFarmacy even closer to the people by engaging Community Health Promoters (CHPs), helping ensure that healthy food and healthy living messages reach households where they matter most.
Because healthier communities start with informed choices.
