The Government of Kenya have launched the mass Afforestation Programme with an aim to restore the forest cover that has declined due to human activities.
This is one way meant to mitigate the effects of Climate Change like drought and famine.
Speaking during the inaugral event at Ngong Hills,Kajiado County Deputy President H.E Rigathi Gachagua has stated that this programme will progress across all the 47 Counties with emphasis on the ASAL areas.
