CURRENT PROBLEMS FACING SINGLE MOTHERS TODAY
1) MODERN SLAVERY
The single mothers of Kenya are the Society's human donkeys or modern slaves. In home settings where a live at home single mother is available, they are tasked with all the labour it takes to run the home, with no authority to decide on anything and with only minimum support or compensation.
2) Exploitation
Live alone single mothers have to settle for low wages. For any manual task that she may be able to get in the community and show gratitude for being honoured with the task.
3) Formal Abuse
In formal employment their value is grossly under valued and on average, they earn less than everyone and end up doing all the unpaid overtimes as "they have no one one to question their being late to go home". MOBILIZATION AND REGISTRATION OF THE SINGLE MOTHERS SOCIAL GROUP
Single mothers are to register with the Ministry of Labour and Social Security. Each Sub-location to form single mothers C.B.O which will consist of 5 - 8 self help single mother groups. The C.B.O shall form clusters and each cluster to represent sub-location. All single teen age and young single mothers who became mothers due to s*x abuse, defilement, r**e and early marriages which result to divorce. OUR CO-VALUE
