Today we had an inspiring session with the widows group from Barkalare, Gem Sub-County. Together, we:
๐ŸŒฑ Shared knowledge on organic farming
๐ŸŒฑ Distributed 2,600 Sukuma Wiki seedlings (including 2,000 seedlings sponsored by Tabitha Ogutu โ€“ CEO, Siaya Community Digital Hub)
๐ŸŒฑ Prepared to add more African leafy vegetables for nutrition and income

The widows already have their land ready, and weโ€™ll continue to walk with them, monitor progress, and provide support. This marks the beginning of a journey to economic empowerment and food security for many more womenโ€™s groups.

Today, Kaluo Obinji CBO planted 2,000 Sukuma Wiki (Ahadi F1) seedlings at Bishop Okoth Mbaga Girls High School.

This is more than just planting vegetables, itโ€™s planting a vision for food security, practical agricultural skills, and environmental stewardship.

We look forward to training and working closely with the students when schools reopen, equipping them with the knowledge to grow healthy food and care for the environment.
