Today Dream Chasers Afrika Youth Organization was represented at Imaarisha Msichana Initiative which is a courtesy of CREAU KENYA together with FAWE which plays a big role in reducing teenage pregnancies amongst our girls in the society and fighting GBV.
Gender-based violence (GBV) remains a critical issue in
Gem sub-county, with women and girls being the primary
victims. GBV encompasses physical, sexual, and
psychological harm, often driven by cultural norms,
economic disparities, and weak legal protections.
Although laws exist to protect victims, enforcement is
often inadequate, and many cases go unreported due to
stigma and fear. Efforts to combat GBV focus on legal
reforms, raising awareness, and providing support
services for survivors.

ABOUT US
Dream Chasers Afrika Youth Organization is a non-for-profit
grassroots community based organization founded in the year
2023 in the western region of Kenya and has its offices in Siaya
County-Kenya. The organization was founded by a group of
young people who came together to address the socio-economic
challenges faced by young people in the region. The challenges
include; high rates of sexual gender based violence's, teenage
pregnancies, high cases of insecurity, high rates of drug, alcohol
and substance abuse, high poverty rates among other socioeconomic challenges.
These socio-economic challenges have left young people
disproportionately disadvantaged to take up leadership positions
both at local, county, national and regional platforms. Dream
Chasers Afrika Youth Organization considers itself the missing
link and seeks to address these socio-economic challenges faced
by the young people of Siaya County. It is led and owned by
young people.
