Africa's Leaders for Global Climate Action!
The Climate Diplomacy Academy 2026 in Nairobi has officially concluded! This top-level academy brought together senior environmental professionals from across African countries to prepare them for global climate security negotiations at the UN Security Council (UNSC) and beyond.

We are proud to share that Stawisha Africa, represented by our Director, was part of this prestigious 2026 Academy cohort, working alongside fellow continental leaders to shape the future of climate peace and security.

What did our leaders accomplish?\
- Mastered UNSC Negotiations: Took part in rigorous, real-world simulations to draft and debate critical climate resolutions.
- Mapped Climate Risks: Learned to identify and intercept climate-fragility risk pathways to protect vulnerable communities.
- Advanced Regional Solutions: Explored IGAD-ICPAC regional coordination mechanisms and food security frameworks.
- Championed Inclusivity: Focused on embedding gender equality directly into international environmental management.

Stawisha Africa and Africa's top environmental experts are ready to lead global forums with unified, authoritative, and impactful solutions that safeguard our planet and secure our future!

Special thanks to Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung , and ICPAC for driving this vital initiative.

Sustaining the gains
Over the past two years, our SRHR Project has achieved incredible milestones in schools through Comprehensive Sexuality Education. But what happens next?

To make sure the impact lasts, we brought together our amazing Health Club teachers and patrons for an intensive training session. The goal? Equipping them with the reporting and monitoring tools needed to keep these vital clubs thriving long into the future, independently!

Big thanks to our incredible partners Sida - Styrelsen för Internationellt Utvecklingssamarbete and SRHR Community Café for making this sustainable impact possible.

Stawisha Pamoja Grandmother's group
We have a unique niche within our program at Stawisha Africa Initiative , grandmothers who are the main caregivers of some young people within the program. All of them have unique stories as to how they ended up being caregivers.

This group of grandmothers supported by Stawisha have been meeting fortnightly over the last 3 years supporting and learning from each other.Through this support group they have undertaken notable economic steps including financial literacy training, establishment of kitchen gardens, cassava farming, poultry keeping and table banking (VSLA)

While individual members run different projects, they decided to identify a common need area, saved and procured high density mattresses in bulk at a discounted rate. They invited stawisha management to oversee the handing over and to share in the joy of resilience and collective effort.

Do you have a project that can benefit these strong women? Reach out
