A beautiful to where it all started — and we are proud to celebrate and mark the upcoming in this school.

Looking back at the effort, dedication, and commitment that transformed a simple idea into a thriving food forest is truly inspiring. Learners can access safe, nutritious food while also learning the value of environmental conservation and sustainable living. This journey reflects the power of teamwork, resilience, and caring for nature.
See the growth. See the impact. See the future.

This 5th June, we gather at St. Ann Sega Girls Primary School to celebrate in a unique and inspiring way.
In line with this year’s theme, we are focusing on The Future of Farming: The Future of Agroecology. Through the learners’ field Day, we invite you to celebrate young agroecologists and witness the transformation that happens when school communities choose agroecological pathways.
Different schools will be coming together to learn, relearn, and unlearn from fellow learners through shared experiences and hands-on learning.
Come and be part of this exciting day as we nurture knowledge, sustainability, and hope for the future of farming.
We can’t wait to host you and learn from these vibrant young minds.

Women representatives from small community groups practicing agroecology across Murang’a, Siaya, Busia, Bungoma, Makueni, and Machakos counties in Kenya recently came together for a two-day training organized by SCOPE KENYA, aimed at strengthening their understanding of agroecology, leadership, and entrepreneurial skills.
The training that took place on 22nd and 23rd May at Our Lady of Grace and Compassion School Mundika, Busia created a valuable space for learning, knowledge sharing, and discussions on strengthening community groups, promoting agroecological entrepreneurship, and addressing the different dynamics affecting women-led groups in their communities.
The training empowered the women with knowledge, skills, and networks that will help strengthen agroecological movements and community livelihoods across their regions.

In the spirit of International Day for Biological Diversity marked this week, SCOPE KENYA participated in the 12th Edition of Green Week at Kenyatta University alongside other partners. The event provided an opportunity for SCOPE Kenya to showcase how nature-based solutions can be leveraged to address environmental challenges, conserve the environment, and restore biodiversity.

During the discussions, partners emphasized the importance of equipping young people with relevant practical skills to enable them to solve environmental problems, improve livelihoods, and create opportunities within their communities. The discussions also highlighted the importance of appreciating indigenous knowledge and its contribution to ongoing technological advancements.

In the panel discussion, participants explored nature-based solutions as a pathway toward sustainability and stressed the need for young people to gain hands-on skills that can help provide sustainable environmental solutions.

Bees are essential for ecosystems and agriculture because they pollinate crops, wild plants, and trees. Without them, biodiversity and food production would drop dramatically.

LETS BEE TOGETHER 🐝💫 as we celebrate the tiny pollinators that keep our world blooming and our food growing.
