We strongly believe that the future of every country and its related society lies in the youthful population and investing in youth entails building a solid foundation for future leaders by maximizing their potentials.
We also realized that in partnership with the Sponsors as well as other stakeholders, young people in Budalang’i could be given a chance of making it in life through sports because our young people are like rough diamonds whom if well-polished shall shine for the whole of humanity.
We embarked on this program at the ground known as Mukongoido with 64 boys and girls U9 and U13 using Football made of plastic bags as an extra-curricular activity during weekends and school holidays. Since then, BYSA has grown to be the major sporting entity in Budalang’I with boys and girls U9, U13, U16 and U20 adding up to over 480 and is being managed the following board of director:.

Our major goal is to search, identify, nurture and appreciate budding soccer talents among children and give them an opportunity to exploit their potential in a professional environment, as an introduction to competitive soccer.
OUR OBJECTIVES
Being found in a region that does not count any industries or mineral resources that constitute a source of empowerment through gainful employment, the overall objectives of this academy resonates with Bunyala residents and include:
1. Identifying sports talents in young people and giving them a chance of making a career even away from our academy.
2. Engaging young people in physical and moral Education with a view to reducing crime rate, lakeside prostitution, banditry as well as the fight against HIV/AIDS.
3. Building friendship ties with stakeholders as well as other sports oriented entities the world over and participating in activities that promote friendship, tolerance and fight against racism and all forms of discrimination.
COACHING SESSION
We’ve two types of coaching sessions i.e weekend and weekdays sessions.:
Weekend Coaching runs on Saturday morning and afternoon and on Sunday during the league.
The coaching sessions are programmed to meet every player’s skill level. Each sessions includes a number of competitions, both individual and team, to help develop the skills and ability of each individual player.
The venues for weekend sessions are also divided according to where village players come from.
We also have inter-bysa super-league which takes place on Sunday weekly. The players from Bunyala south and central play in zone A while those from from Bunyala west and north play in zone B.
BYSA week days Sessions take place on Tue and Wednesday weekly. Each training session takes about 1 hour, depending on the age group. The trainings are being conducted by both primary and secondary school games masters across Bunyala sub-county.
BYSA CALENDAR
FEB to December
We conduct an INTER-BYSA league on Sundays and school holidays. During inter-bysa league, all players are not only evaluated and placed in teams according to their age and village they come from but Parents are also requested to sign up for the roles they would like to participate in, e.g. refereeing, sponsors, assistant referees, team doctors and team parent (cheering squad). BYSA league has an age limit of between 15-18 years old.
APRIL-MAY
BYSA organizes an exchange visit program (EVP) and Football academies’ national championships for Youth (FANCY) whereby all academies, coaches, parents and scouts from both local and international converge in Nairobi for 5days championships and the winners of all categories receives a trophies and cash prizes.
DEC 16th to 30th,
INTER-BYSA CHAMPIONSHIP. This is the moment that the best and most improved players in each category gets to play against each other, identified and awarded. The Dec. 30th is the grandee finale of the bysa calendar. That is the moment that even the Bunyala people come back home to give back to their community.
AREA OF SPONSORSHIP
1. Football equipment, full kit uniforms and shoes for all players.
2. An exchange visit program between the BYSA and National and international Sport Institution and training centers for coaches and players all over the World in order to build youth capacity in these domain through partnership with training institutions and centers.
3. Sign up players with big clubs.
4. Reliable means of transport system for the academy.
5. To build a multibillion stadium for the academy at Lunyofu Playground that can able to host all sports ranging from football, volleyball, swimming, athletes, rugby to any other game that we will be able to teach.
6. An international boarding primary and secondary school for boys and girls who are passionate about sports and arts. The school will be teaching the full syllabus and all kind of sports and arts.
7. To secure full sponsorship for BYSA activities and programs e.g. international tournaments/trips, Bursary programs etc.
