Imagine trying to study for your KCPE while your home is a battleground.
For a young girl growing up in the informal settlements of Nairobi, the walls of her home don’t offer protection, they echo with violence. When witnessing abuse between her parents is a daily routine, and facing it herself is normal, survival becomes the only goal. School becomes an afterthought. The trauma quietly steals her focus, her grades, and her future. The Women for Girls golf tournament is stepping onto the green to change this narrative. Every swing we take helps rescue these vulnerable girls from the cycle of fear, providing them with safe access to education, mental health support, and a chance to rewrite their stories away from violence. Education is her ticket out.
